Prevent Mob spawning

I like the game very much but is there a way in general to prevent the continues Mob Spawning ? Thanks

When the area is lit up enough, no mobs will spawn :)

Hey Dev, I'm also really digging your game and have a question about preventing mob spawns. Does the area being lit up enough also prevent mob spawns underground? It seems like the lights don't prevent it but it's also hard to tell because the mobs usually spawn off screen.

Yea, it does. However when the light reaches one-third of what it is in the center of the torches, mobs can spawn again on that tile. So a small amount of light does not block spawns :)

ok i do have another Question: I have build a little house. Doors to the outside. Walles in with stonewalls and layed down stone floor. However it seems not to count as inside as i wanted to set my spawnpoint with the bed. Do i need to use a specific kind of a material or blocks for "inside" buildings ? Thanks.

ok i found out why it was not couting as inside. I simply build it too big. But i quit the game. I spawned the first boss and it is REALLY strong. I do have Goldarmor and a summon staff with 3 Spiders. But i can not beat him even on easiest difficulty. Game is deleted. i will look for another game like this but lot easier. Maybe stardew Valley is better for me. Cheers and thanks for Help.

That sounds super odd. If you have full gold armor, the boss will deal about 3-5 damage to you per hit. But that will also not allow you to have more than 1 summon out. Either you are using full spider armor, and put gold in cosmetic slots? Or something is completely off.
Not to mention if you have it set to the easiest difficulty, and have any armor at all equipped in all the slots it will deal 1 damage to you per hit.
And this is without using any buff potions too.
