Has anyone actually had the ghost kid win? I've played the game three times now and won all of them. I need to have the boy win one so the TV will turn on. Sure seems that you are supposed to win all the time.

Its random... some will win several times before he does and some like me only won once then he did... he will eventually win

I lost badly on the first go, he hit a ladder going straight to the top and I hit a snake about half way. I really thought I was going to have to replay until I won, but I guess I got lucky. Doesn't seem to be much strategy if any in S&L, probably just have to play until you lose.

I played twice and lost first time, both times! I was convinced the little flamer was cheating! lol

I lost on the 6th or 7th LOL. Not to mention one of the games took me 5+ minutes :D

Oh my god this is nuts. There are so many 5's rolled. In the second game - first game was 10 minutes (and I won), this is 10 and counting and predictably he rolled a 5 straight into the last snake.

He won in my first game straight away... I feel like playing that part again just to see...lol. I loved the noises when he was losing etc....lol.

Yeah, he was on about 93 and I was in the mid 20s and he still moaned about throwing a 1! Ungrateful little s**t! lol

I seem to have a crippling bug here. Whenever I win, and have to leave the room to come back and try again, the 'flashlight' stops working. I thought it was probably part game as you go up into the boys dorm so carried on but its clear now it's a bug.
Was very annoying had to load an old save wasting few hours of play but now I'm just bloody sick of reloading over and over for past half hour try to loose the game.

[edit] at least seems can save a little time by backing out of the game to reset it if looks like going to win

As I say, wasn't working. That's first thing I tried as that boys dorm is virtually black so was having to try do it all with the night-vision camera. I even checked the basic control guide pdf which says can use the middle mouse button too for the flashlight.
Considering the thermal camera has an error msg for a lot of areas now and its a ghost game I assumed the torch breaking down was part of the game. Characters even mention battery's a couple times too including shortly after that section.

Also noticed when finished the board game (and carried on with glitched light) when back out from the TV that's now on and needing tuning, it was showing the TV as off/not lit. I thought it a little odd but just put it off as one those little quirky overlooked things but that was working too after got past this glitch.
No idea why this happened for me in particular but at least seems isolated but I would recommend make an extra save first just in case.
