How do you use potions during a battle?
New to the game, and generally liking it. Cannot figure out how to use a potion during a battle. I have three with me, but there seems to be no way to use one. I'm missing something, I think.

You can't.

That's correct ...... you cannot use potions during combat. It's part of the game design.
You can only use them if they are in your inventory or crafting slot when out of combat.
It's not as lame as you might think once you level up your character's skills and equipment.

And there are Abilities/Blood Lines that you can get that do heal during combat.
ie; Bite, Healthy Combo, Vampiric Touch.

Sort of thought that was the case, being as there was no slot on the character to "hold" a potion. Thanks for the confirmation. This game is fun, for me. The only part I don't like is the constant hang ups when trying to get around obstacles while walking inside the towns, etc. I can put up with that though, as the general game is interesting.

that isnt a great loss on the mainland most of the time i never used pots in or after fights, But when you get to the island where every enemy NPC has 2-5k health has the ability to heal for 1k dmg every round for 8-10 rounds it becomes a joke, the same enemys can drop your health by 300 for 8-10 rounds and drop focus to 1 for 8 rounds all while doing hundres of dmg after armor debuf and dodge bufs that make you miss 90% melee attacks for 5 rounds.

all the bilitys we have only last for 2-4 rounds { and theres so much back tracking up the length of the islnd that takes ages beasue the fights take so much longer.

You make the island sound like it is more of a torture than a fun game. :-)
For me though, that is not a problem... as I have bought many games over the years, and I have seldom finished most of them. I just get the enjoyment of perhaps a hundred or two hours of play, and that satisfies me.

well thats because there are no junk mobs on the island that i have found so every fight is like a boss fight :{

Yes, I agree... the fights are getting boring, because they are pretty much always the same. It would have been nice if they could have figured out a way to change up the combat every so often. Because the interaction never changes, they should have made an option to make the fights go automatically. Much faster that way, and gives the fingers a rest.

If you are looking for healing during battle - you will need to invest in bite, etc.

As far as anyone who is throwing out negativity about this game. I got it for under $10.00 US. I believe it is well worth that price - for what it offers.

Reminds me the older style RPG's that did not hold your hand - and allowed you to encounter enemies that were far higher that you in level. I feel like I am back in the 80's :)

And the PC version is better than the mobile free version by far.

I'm not as critical as i'd normally be because i was already playing and enjoying the game on mobile, but usually im quite dirisive about games ported from mobile as they tend to be objectively lacking in some areas e.g. my vampire "mage" only uses one skill, like ever. because there's only one spell in the game (2 if you count the bat dot).

The lifesteal ability is pretty much mandatory by the second zone, if you get stuck you can always do a skill reset at that port town in the first area (top right). Block/dodge (or both) is also somewhat mandatory for the tougher boss fights as you can only max leech 5% per round (that includes the entire round, not just 5% per hit during combo rounds).

Bite is needed in addition to lifesteal for those harder fights when your dodge/block is unlucky.

It's far from mandatory - it's nice way to cheese battles if you are doing badly though or if you screwed up a lot.

Good build, good greatsword+sword/axe in offhand and focus focused armor set from last town of first continent will finish fights on 2nd continent in 2-3 rounds(guaranteed win on combo turn, with some crit luck you can finish before that with your ~30-40% crit chance)

I have done 2 tiers of brutals on rebirth 1, but I didn't bother with mazes, since that would need beating game at least 4 times to beat it with decent odds, most likely 6 times in total(since at the point where you already waste enough time to beat it 4 times, doing it 2 more times is nothing)

Shield build is only good for mazes honestly, the rest is faster via glass cannon build and one shotting. How many of the playerss will bother with replaying game 6 times? I would say approx 0.1% of the players, hence your suggestions are for 0.1% of the playerbase and mine are for 99.9% of the playerbase.
Altho I disagree - bite is still useless in post game contnet once your HP is like 8-9k, you just don't bite enough for it to make impact.
Not like you need to, since most things will still die on a combo turn of heavy slashes.
