Locked Character Icons

I am enjoying the game quite a bit. I only just discovered that when I click on my character, three different colored images appear surrounding him. At the moment (level 30), they have a padlock symbol, so I can't try them out to see what they do. Anyone know what these images are and when they unlock?
Also, what do the wings do? Pretty salty for me at this point, with the lowest cost being 9,000 coins! I have been spending my limited cash on weapon and shield upgrades...never seem to be able to save more than 3-4,000 before spending it on an upgrade...

The colored images unlock at level 45 or so. Each costs 9000 coins.

White: Shadow form, no random encounters
Orange: Scavenger form, detect chests, 100% flee chance, 20% bloodstone drop
Blue: Alchemist form, create potions anywhere, potions last longer
