29 DAYS SURVIVED
Finished the game in 29 days... 6h playtime... The game has potential... but for now it's to short. What are your experiences? Anyone has been killing the soldiers? I did not kill anyone xD But it was a continuos fight for wood and scrap which should be more as I did pick a 219 from 260 possibles stacks of goods... So almost everything on the map... every night scavenging quickly hiding and trying to survive... was stresfull xD ( sorry for my english ) ...

I'm only on Day #11 and wood is becoming an issue already. I'm trying to avoid attacking the soldiers. Once you get spotted, you tend to have more patrolling

i finished the game also past day 29, i also didn't kill anyone, wasn't worth it. i mostly just took what ever i could, i never lacked wood because of day 3 saw bench upgrade, i was swimming in water and only needed to watch out for food, but i never needed to kill any livestock. for $20 game it was ok nothing great but not bad

I think killing a patrol must give out more revards. As for now it is not a smart option at any rate.

29 days too, I think. I didn't really lack anything, maybe I was a bit low on materials. I made 3 rat traps which kept me well supplied with meat, 2 rain catchers took care of water easily. With everything upgraded, I was ok with resources. But yeah, I'd have liked it to last a bit longer.

8 hours for me, fibers was hard to find, anything else was pretty find and balanced.
I killed a guard with heavy armor and sword (and character with fightning bonus), just to be sure and don't take risk. Searched around 227 stacks.

Nearly forgot, well killed 2 soldiers and got 2 broken axe. I don't know if everyone drop the same or i was just lucky/unlucky.

Killing guards is not worth it imo atm. Especially since you always get spotted before killing them anyway.

Killed a soldier in the demo, all that I got is a broken axe and alert status higher. In a lot of ways killed the vibe of the game for me, game should have at least given a worthwhile reward for the action or what would reasonably be on a soldier.

I've played through twice now and having 3 rat catchers, 2 water collectors, 2 drying racks and a farm sorted me for food, water and fibers + surplus to supply the troops. Upgrading is a must. I had no issues keeping healthy stocks of materials simply by maximising my night by running everywhere and stuffing my backpack using Flint with as much as possible. Even when full, I would keep searching and just leaving extras there so I can grab it quickly the next night.

As for getting guards on high alert, it is not an issue once you have unlocked all 3 entry points. Then you simply cycle through neighbourhoods. After 2 nights the alert level goes down again for the area you did not go into.

I'm halfway through my first play though. Somewhat of a learning curve. I think I made the mistake of putting off some of the upgrades - like the saw bench. I've killed a guard or two, but its not worth the extra security. Overall, I like the concept. I'm interested to get to the end of the game.

If you sneak up from behind you can kill them with only minor wounds or sometimes no wounds at all. Then the broken axe is pretty much a free bonus. And even if you don't need Axes for the bastion anymore, you can still repair them and use them with traders. Worked great for me. ;)

Also killed guards won't come back. So if one guard is really annoying, because you always need a lot of time to sneak around him, it might be useful to kill him, just to have him out of the way, once the alert is low again after a few days. :masterassassin:

I thought there is extra security if you killed a guard? How long does it take for the security to drop after they see you? That is a good point about trading the ax.

Hmm, I honestly didn't pay attention how many days it took. Perhaps 3 or 4 if alert was on red before? I just went Scavenging on the other end of the city until alert was down to lowest again.
Well, when I killed too many guards a manhunt started and neighboring sectors got alerted by my killing spree too. ;) In the end I had almost the whole city yellow/red. But then again: You can always sneak through yellow and red sectors too. Especialy if you reduced the amount of guards in the sector beforehand.
Wait... how did you all finish on day 29??? i just got to day 35 and my garrison morale broke and i lost even tho everything was fully stocked
