Is this game worth the buy?
Im someone who has played the mobile game on and off for a few years and was interested when I saw this desktop version. But everyone seems to say its basically the same game with not much value added. Are there hard plans for more mechanics and content to be added or is the game pretty much complete as is?

It's actually *less* game than what you get on mobile, although there aren't any micro-transactions. There are a number of features available on mobile that aren't in the PC version, and very little, if anything (literally nothing I am aware of) that is in the PC version that isn't in the mobile one.

I'd say it all depends on how you like to play games. On PC, depending on your set-up, the game can be very pretty and the horses are executed extremely well. If you prefer playing on PC, and enjoy the game, then you might think it's worth it.

That said, the game seems to have been sold 'as is' and there are zero indications the PC version will continue to be supported with new features, updates, etc., while they are most definitely continuing to add to the mobile version.

I paid $40 for the game, and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. There is tremendous potential; the graphics are fantastic and racing is fun, but based on the way PikPok has handled the mobile platform I fully expected more features to be added as time progressed. That's on me, so I won't gripe too much, but yeah. Disappointing. I'd spend that money on something else if I had it to do over again.

thank you i really appriciate your detailed answer! I have decided I wont buy it. I can play around the micro transactions so Id just rather do that lol. I do prefer PC games but I prefer free games (that hold the exact same amount of if not more content, like you say) even more lol. Its unfortunate that they didnt do more with this. I totally would have payed $40 if it included all the mobile features and maybe some others like a paddock or a mode to just ride around for fun in a little world or something. Again, thank you for the help!
