A few questions

Where does the Skills show up at? I'm not seeing any place to train skills, or buy skills. Also, do the equipment choices under customization have any effect on the performance of the horses? During a race where you take control over the mount does the lane you are in make any difference, or is it just the Front, Middle or Rear positions that make any difference? Is there any way to give a hired Jockey instructions; break early, break later, move to the rail or that sort of thing?

-- Customisations are purely cosmetic.
-- No, left/middle/right doesn't make a difference, except in that being closer to the rail is faster because it's less distance.
-- No, you cannot instruct hired jockeys.
