Stuck on Scarab.

I'm not sure if I bugged him somehow.
Took me a while to figure out the Devil card gives you negative faith, so you heal ghost types (first floating boss, the boss in the temple) until their health turns into "??" and they can't die.

What confused me is that the sacarab lord also got "??", and he's not a ghost. And even when I don't use any negative faith cards and reset the stage, he's always "??" and doesn't die even after 5-10 minutes of stabbing.

I see I'm told he's "nearly unarmored but very resilient", but that doesn't help. So I don't need piercing damage, I don't need faith, I need only strength? That doesn't seem to do the trick, either.

Also, did anybody figure out the effect of Judgement yet? I think it gives a lot of strength, or maybe a lot of faith, since I was able to delete the floating ghost boss with it.

I was able to beat the scarab lord by (1) equipping 2 strength tarots and (2) stabbing him on top a bunch of times with the spear and (3) stabbing the flying beetles.
