(SPOILER) Secret Ending?
After the nuke 106 awakes in (seemingly) another cloning facility, im pretty sure that i heard anton's voice as well, how the hell did he survive?

106's memories and consciousness were probably secured by the flying drones, right? that would make sense, but how did anton """survive""" through all of this?

mh I see

Well, we think that the clones are experiments made by horizon that syndicate weaponized, cuz why else would Anton say that 106 never meant to be a weapon? dunno, just theorizing
i think a more likely answer is that 106 was going to be a cycle similar to anton or dr emerson a non combat cycle of some kind but i guess cultist and horizon were too much of a issue at the time so they switched gears and made 106 a full combat cycle also the clones can't be antons experiments as anton is cycle 78 so there would be 77 cycles before him so i doubt that is the case.
well damn im confused, yeah it seems you are right, which brings up even more questions, many of which we cant know the answer to...

and whats up with the "Task Force 27 Memorandum", intel that can be found all around the HQ with plenty of locations listed on it

is it like... cycles they still need to destroy? or places of interest? or probably some easter egg

it's most likely remnants of other missions they have had in the past to destroy anomalies or other organizations there's actually alot of papers like that in the game that are actually written and readable and have some interesting information

ragemode isn't that bad you can use spas 12 with incendiary rounds and homing grenades rat bombs and smart gun on the minigun to cheese most rage mode encounters the only encounters that are genuinely hard are crash site, kellington, iron dragon data servers, and the anton and patriarch boss fight

The patriarch fight was enough for me on extreme… but I am willing to try a few levels on rage mode

We will see

yeah nah, i can see the stealth levels being easy, but... every other encounter would be almost impossible

You were never meant to be a weapon - keep in mind Horizon CEO says Syndicate betrayed him, so my thought is that Syndicate wanted to weaponize his experiments against him to destroy Horizon. Remember that each time you hear Vox or someone from Horizon talk, it's all about health and stuff, so all experiments they could possibly be done to enhance human life or whatever.

Syndicate probably didn't like the barbarism and teared off from Horizon to try and take it down. All the subjects were probably some kind of stolen tech that Syndicate weaponized.
i'm pretty sure it's the other way around horizon teared off from syndicate most likely after antons task was completed and he was to be terminated from there he either went rogue and created horizon or horizon already existed and he simply left syndicate to do whatever he plans on doing

Some intel seems to support this line of thinking. Though, I don't think Horizon teared off from the Syndicate more so that Anton did, and formed Horizon similarly to how the patriarch formed his cult. As to how Anton survived... I imagine he survived in the same way Subject-106 survived standing next to a thermonuclear warhead as it detonated. Cloning!

Another possibility is it's just a coincidence, and it's not actually Anton's voice.

Additionally, I think the syndicate are the ones creating the subjects, and Horizon is simply containing them. A log from a black ops mission say they find a 5x5m box, which likely houses Subject-97-01. The report details the black ops team infiltrating a farm, at which Syndicate operatives were hidden. I know the director tells 106 that it's horizon, but then again... Why would they tell the truth? That would just turn 106 against them.

Alternatively, it could've been a recovery mission. But the log doesn't say they found Subject-97-01, it says they found a 5x5m box. I would infer they didn't know the contents until later.
Just finished and little confuse from ending.

1st, why are you dying in moment when Anton finish his mind transport? Are you poisoned by Syndicate as a punishment for your failure or what this means?

Why you, very useful and faithful dog of Syndicate, should be terminated after all just cause you finished one important task? This is crazy wasting of living trained material which efectively proved its qualities. Makes a sense only in case they have absolutely unlimited sources, discretion has the highest priority for them and their naive human personal always end contract by retirement, permanent one in the oven. But still very odd. I saw about twenty, maybe more clones only and most of them was quite unefective, so why they want to destroy their best prototype?

Difference between this ending and normal one? I want to see normal one too.

How can I get "normal" ending when I already finished game?

that's not the secret ending, that's the normal ending, the secret ending adds something new at the end of that final mission

the syndicate doesn't care for their subjects, they're just tools to make ends meet for them. 105 being used to free 106, 106 being used to bring down the rogue subjects, etc.
making a new subject to improve upon the last instead of just modifying the existing one might be more cost-effective, plus allows more than one subject to exist with their own roles

And then what it was? After nuke I wake up somewhere and end, pretty unoriginal btw, in that moment achiev (One more mission or so) popped up on screen.
Barely 6% of players got it, its even less than players which completed very hard so I bet its not standard end.
But maybe im wrong, come on, tell me the difference. Whats that new stuff if not wake up?
