Please tell me Pandora institute is the only level with those infected people...
I had heard good things about this game, I really liked playing through the first level, and I was eager to play through the rest. Well I got through level 2, cool stuff, oh ok we're going down to the basement, elevator mishap, predictable but whatever... Ok I guess this is sort of a horror game now? I can roll with that, sounds cool.

Why is Man Bat running around in that lab?? A bursting enemy that vomits at you.. eh.. And then you get to the cafeteria looking room covered in goo and you have to fight something like 3 dozen of those stupid infected. First of all there were so many I thought it was an infinite spawn and I was supposed to do something in the room, turns out they just spawned in 3 or 4 waves.

They are so incredibly unfun to fight in the cramped environements of this game. You already have little room to move and they vomit corrosive stuff on the ground that further makes it difficult to get around.
Then you try to breach a door and Man-bat shoves you down into the hive. No for real, how am I supposed to take the mothman guy seriously? It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moth man, not to mention until that point you were never in any actual danger from it as he only showed up for cutscenes.

Anyway he shoves you down into the hive and you have to play through an obnoxious segment where you constantly take damage until you reach the end of it, not that it actually matters since the damage over time is so low, and there's medkits sprinkled along your path, it's just annoying, also you can't see ♥♥♥♥ but since it's a linear corridor at least it's hard to get lost thankfully.

Pick up the flashdrive, lock and load and go blow up the reactor, oh ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ great those infected ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ just straight up spawn under your feet from the goo, great... At least the environement for that part is a bit more open, but not much, and since the ragdols are a bit clunky the guys I tried to throw into the reactor kept bouncing off on the wall or on other enemies heads. eventually I got it. Then into another run away segment but without obnoxious DoT so we're good actually. I'm glad I managed to spot teh weapons parts along the way.

Call for the elevator for a final(or is it) fight with Man-bat. I'm not getting any hitmarkers, my bullets don't seem to even stagger him so I just slide back and forth between the pillars until the elevator comes. I keep shooting just in case but I probably just wasted all that ammo. By the way can we talk about that animation when mothman gets up in your face, it's bad...

Anyway, elevator ride up to the roof, oh that's weird medkits and guns I guess we're still having one last fight? And up through another elevator comes the circus beast except this time he has a shiny and obvious weakpointTM and a health bar! I can kill it yay! Terrible bossfight you just run around the chainlink fence taking potshots until the HP goes down.

I am so disapointed by the second half of that pandora institue level. It completely breaks the serious tone that seems to be set by the game until that point. The newly introduced enemies are not fun to fight against in the slightest, and this is coming from someone who plays through Cod4 and World at War on veteran every couple year, somehow the grenade spam in those game sis more enjoyable than whatever the ♥♥♥♥ this game has going on at the pandora insitute.

PLEASE TELL ME I NEVER HAVE TO DEAL WITH THESE GUYS AGAIN... I was having so much fun until the pandorium infected people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ :/
I've been spoilered the other goo enemies that can wield gun by playing in the combat simulator a bit and honestly those are actually okay and I can live with them, just please no more melee corrosive enemies...

To be clear I don't have an issue with there being bio weapon infected enemies. I have issues with the fact that they are not fun to fight, and that the mothman guy has a ridiculous design, seriously the creepypasta kids could come up with something better.

you won't have to deal with those guys again in the campaign. they do appear in combat sims though.

every main mission has their own types of enemies you won't see them again outside of horde mode, also if you have a problem with creepypasta stuff i give a warning about site 83.

Yeah, the creepypasta kids in question made the mothman just a tall black creature with huge wings and red eyes. Definitely better.

I was enjoying the game until the "mothman" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It was at that point I found that unloading literally hundreds of rounds into his face did nothing. I died 3x and then ragequit. Full and immediate uninstall.

Yes, I suck, but it's just absurd to make ♥♥♥♥ this difficult. It wouldn't be so bad if the whole thing didn't feel so incredibly contrived, as if it was 1992 all over again.

It's a shame people seem to be so bothered by moth man, I thought it was pretty cool and not so tough. The OHKO on rage mode made him seem tricky but all you gotta do is line of sight and slide until the final encounter and then you just shoot his ass

Bro you literally just evade him and shoot him in the face a few times with a shotgun. I killed him from point blank range with a shotgun on extreme. It's not that tough. Instead of blaming the game, why don't you get good?

Just cloak and wait for them to group up so you can grenade them, and you only see them on that mission, excluding the combat simulator.

Maybe you shouldn't have shot at the mothman until after the elevator. Remember the video game rule of bosses: if they have a health bar, they're killable, if they don't, they aren't.

If it were up to me I would've made the mothman a genuine enemy type and not a boss. Imagine this guy being way weaker so to be killable with a few shotgun shots, but popping up every now and then as an assassin type enemy.

Please tell me you were shooting the Mothman AFTER the elevator and not while escaping, that'll be a real upset.
