Perhaps excessive force for such comparatively tame threats to the paranormal fury faced by the First Encounter Assault Recon or the anomalous horrors faced by Task Force 27, but, as I'm sure both would agree: There's no kill like overkill:

Carry a trusty sidearm for each hand, maybe even a sharp blade & cranking 'Horde' all the way up to ensure maximum lethality.
