[SPOILERS] Site 32 computer message - hidden lore?
Those of you who've played the Site 32 side mission may have taken note of some computer screens inside the vault displaying a scrolling screen of text, seemingly displaying a long sequence of random Gs, As, Cs and Ts (otherwise known as the four bases of DNA). Part of that sequence is separated into triplets, as seen here:

I had my suspicions that this was a code, so I decided to at least attempt to decode it, and I think I succeeded. It appears to be a basic substitution cipher, masked somewhat by each triplet referring to a single character. Long story short, here is what it appears to say:

rea?thecycle (I would guess "reap" or "read", but both 'd' and 'p' are used elsewhere despite having a different triplet)
syndicatelies
helpme
rsenthal (presumably a shortening of Rosenthal?)
partridge
theyareallhere
mnythrsliehere ("many others lie here", presumably)
t?thsndyrs (my guess would be "two thousand years" with the ? being either a 'w' or an 'o')

As for what the significance of this hidden message is, most of it should be fairly straightforward - Rosenthal and Partridge were scientists at Site 32, both missing after the incident. However, "many others lie here" and "two thousand years" are both less obvious - my reading of it would suggest that somehow the biomass intended for data storage somehow also encodes the consciousness of other people that have been used in the experiments on it, maybe "former residents" of the Pandora Institute? And potentially that their perception of the passage of time as part of this biomass is drastically slowed? Not sure.

It makes me think the machine was the prototype for the Mind transfer tech that was used on the final mission by the CEO .

One of the secret files on the first mission (site 14) discusses why trying to replicate the human brain on a machine would require massive computing power and resources that would make it unreasonable to use, so they change their focus to copying a biological brain onto another. .

Thank you for solving the DNA message too! Now it makes a lot of sense.
