Strategies for Rage Mode Oil Rig?

Has anyone completed this yet? Trying to work out how to beat this to get the infinite focus cheat unlocked. Made it to wave 4 using a turtle strategy with proximity mines, incendiary shotgun and the bolt launcher but got to the point where I couldn't afford any ammo. Turtling seems detrimental to the play style of this game so I feel like I'm doing something wrong, but at the same time if you go in deep you get clapped as soon as a grunt so much as sneezes on you.

There isn't a lot of space and not a lot of reliable cover, so securing a fallback area is important, so turtle-lite. You want an area you can fall back to and back away into but you shouldn't be sitting there forever. Otherwise it's just normal ragemode gameplay, play fast and smart, abuse stealth and keep good track of your focus.

I sat in the room they spawn into and blasted them all in the head with dual shotties as they came through the door. Use focus to land headshots easier and do it quick enough to keep your focus up. Save your money to buy in a squad of AI. I used assault squad because it was the best I had. Not sure how many they were killing but they make for a good distraction to take the heat off a bit. I grabbed the grenade launcher under the room you download the data from and used that to take out the guys with the jammers on the last wave and for the boss guy. I got really unlucky too and the game glitched out after the big alien thing died and the boss guy wouldn't spawn in. Had to reload checkpoint 🤦‍♂️

Bring a normal shotgun (incendiary is great for crowd control, but ruins your one-shot range) and a rifle. Make sure you bring full ammo and a grenade of your choice from HQ. Next, you should familiarise yourself with the easy-cheesy rage playstyle. Use cloak to approach enemies who are alone, and shotgun them (or take hostage if possible), and immediately retreat to safety. This is how you build focus, and should be the main use of your shotgun. They should be dead before they even see you. Hide near one of the terminals and wait until you get the popup for interference. Rush to that location with cloak, activate focus, slay the specialist and anyone in your immediate path, and get out of there asap. Whenever there are enemies on your screen and you are not cloaked, you should always be sliding, or else they will simply instakill you. The shotgun can be used to stagger enemies outside of one shot range, or you can 2 tap everyone with the rifle. Never body shot an enemy with the rifle, it's not worth the time or risk. Essentially, play like a rat and conserve focus to eliminate the specialists and protect your own life. When it comes to conserving focus, sometimes it's advisable to deactivate focus a moment before taking a shot in order to gain focus from the kill, and immediately reactivate it. Simply keeping it on only burns your timer, so get used to when you can deactivate it without your slow reaction times and poorer accuracy causing a problem. It's the easiest mission by far on rage, and is very doable with a bit of practice. First time i did it, i didn't even buy anything, but if you will, shotguns and assault squads are the most cost-effective solutions. Armour and health are expensive and you get one shot anyway, so they aren't that useful. Also note that a wave will retreat if there are only 1-2 enemies left, or 3 if left long enough, and you get a checkpoint at the end of every wave, so consider going out of your way to get a couple extra kills to finish a wave if you want a checkpoint, but generally try to keep the wave count low. Higher wave = more enemies. For the "boss" HVT, just circle strafe him in focus with the shotgun. 2-3 blasts to the head is fatal.

Just save up enough at the start using the normal Rage Mode strats to buy a Smart Gun squad. They are absolutely busted on rage mode and make the missions where you can buy squads not that tough. Just constantly be sliding and moving quick making sure to get a kill every now and then to keep your stamina cracked out.
