Ok, so I just managed to finish Jorvik Castle. The third phase of the Patriarch fight was bordering on comical nonsense, with a dozen cultists shooting at me with bolt guns from all sides, half a dozen suicide bombers rushing me, the big monster chasing me relentlessly AND the patriarch shooting at me as well. At my twentieth try or so, I got lucky the monster got stuck behind some scenery and my health/armor held out long enough to kill him, and I finally managed to win the fight. Then right after the patriarch dying cutscene ended, the game crashed. When I restarted it, the Jorvik castle mission is not registered as not completed (though I still have the intel I gathered). My goodness, this is frustrating.

If it helps, you don't actually have to kill the monster to kill the patriarch. I killed all the other enemies then blasted the patriarch before the big dude could catch up to me.

I don't understand how people complaining in other threads beat this boss (which was insane, atleast on extreme) and then could not beat the final boss which is basically just a quick time event.

I got it on my first try, Very Hard.
The patriarch went down in like 5 seconds once I got on top of him with a penetrating bolt gun and a shotgun.

If you have a mouse 5 button(thumb button), try binding it to slide.

How did he go down in 5 seconds when he has scripted phases and will just throw a smoke bomb and disappear once enough damage has been done to trigger it?

I meant he went down in 5 seconds on his final phase.

I struggled too, but its all about finding the right cloak & gun pace. You need to disappear, shoot him off guard, and disappear again. He's surprisingly easy to lose as well, but just move slow and use the detection indicator since it'll come slow and white before you need to actually cloak and run in fro it.

As for the Patriarch, as someone else said, I think the trick is to know he doesn't actually wait for you to finish the waves of enemies. Just outrun the golem, use the others for stamina fodder, and focus on the patriarch when he's there.
