Stuck trying to buy: "Your transaction cannot be completed because you have another pending transaction on your account."

I've been trying to buy this but the transaction will not complete and I get the above error message. There seems to be no way either to void the transaction and start again or to get the existing transaction to progress. Advice welcome, many thanks.

Same issue, bought a DLC pack for another game couples of days ago, no issues then, sometimes there is a pause when finalising the agreement but should take no more than 30 seconds.

I had this one time in the past. What helped me was waiting and coming back a few hours or at least one hour later. You propably do not want to hear this, but yeah that is what worked for me in that case.

Certainly is, I've stuck a ticket with Steam support, see which one resolves itself first.

You aren't being helpful, but I think that was the point of your post.

Steam Support came back, damn that was more than light speed considering what they are usually like, apparently the payment systems were a little overloaded with the amount of people trying to buy it so some payments were stuck in limbo, you could wait it out for it to clear itself or give steam support a nudge and they'll clonk it into place to complete the purchase. You might need to re-confirm what transaction you are using if you do the support method.

I had the same, the dev changed the price or changed something else about the price, thats why we couldnt complete our transactions.

Simple solution was going into my buy history or whatever its called and cancel the order there and just buy it again.

Got it to work, gents, many thanks for your help. After I went to Steam Help they reset my purchase history for 72 hours, enabling me to remake the purchase and this time it "took". I wonder what went wrong.
