Ships Disintegrating

I'm finding that the moment a single hole is made in the ship or the moment water gets in using the Add Water function, the ship starts growing random holes and then falling apart without anything I'm doing making it happen. It really takes away from the game and I don't know if it's a glitch or a feature but it wasn't there a month ago and I really don't enjoy it. Makes the game unenjoyable.

Is there a solution to this?

I came here to report the same issue, so its definitely happening to multiple people, not just OP.

I find it isnt happening all the time though. Usually I open the simulator and the first one or two ships will go fine. Its after I load a few before it starts having the issue. I make a hole somewhere and its like the water is making additional holes by itself.... a bunch of tiny holes are made everywhere water touches causing the ship to sink faster and faster.
This happens even when I only play with one ship model or multiple and I never know what exactly sets it off. It seems random...

Nope. I switched to Floating Sandbox Simulator.

well, if you changed the settings for the ships, it can happen. to much water-weight, to little strength, wrong hull thickness setting, etc.

im having a somewhat similar issue, my issue is the second the ship hits the seafloor it disintegrates and crumbles as a plane or helicopter would if it hit concrete at full speed, i played this game years ago when it first came out and never had any issues with that, very weird and depressing considering i just got back into this game now, if anyone has ever had a similar issue to what i described and found a fix any help would be much appreciated, thanks
