Masking tape help needed!

Hello! I need help figuring out the finer details of using masking tape in Story/Career mode.

My current instructions show military-style stencil numbers, and I've seen Google images of the tape tool having those shapes. My Stamp tool seems to only have the double strip and inverted double strip shapes. Currently own upgrade #1.

I'd also like to note that acquisition of the tape itself is a bit less obvious than some of the other tools. I'm not sure when it became unlocked for me, but I checked the store periodically (probably around levels 2 through 4, and maybe after 10 or so emails with Joy) before finally giving up. I was at level 5 (not sure how far into the story) when I saw that it had become available. Some of the other tools lead you to the store to progress your objectives, which I think is a great feature for beginners, and doing so with the masking tape would help tremendously.

in the last tab in the store, you can buy different masking tape "patterns", like numbers and inverted numbers
