Empty Bucket

How exactly do you get the empty bucket achievement? I've tried fully painting the sections using the paintbrush tool, but it won't trigger the step in the instructions as complete, without using the colour tool. How are you supposed to complete the paint instructions without using the colour tool?

To collect this achievement, you have to complete the model without Color Tool, Pattern Tool and a Base Coat tool :)

Don't use indicators on the instruction, just choose bucket colours yourself. :)
