Mecha Knights: Nightmare

My Thoughts and review of MK:N.
The only mech games I need in my life are Armored Core, Daemon X Machina, Front Mission Evolved, and now, Mecha Knights: Nightmare. I played it for 11 hours straight. Without a doubt, definitely scratches the Armored Core itch. The only thing that bothered me about the AC series is that you couldn't fire all your weapons at the same time. Mecha Knights remedies that issue. My goal? Is to have 8 Gatling Guns and a Cannon that hits like a Nuke. Only suggestions I got are;

- Head, legs and arms dismemberment for larger creatures. Being able to blow off the head/flower of the laser cannons with a well placed shot from the x2 Tordens would be badass.
- Melee attack for when enemies get too close.
- Shield, Speed and Attack Modes, similar to Daemon X Machina.
- AoE attack using shields to damage surrounding enemies. Leaves shields at Zero. Big crater. Good feeling.
- Craters from explosions and larger, destructible buildings.
- Double tap movement keys to evade, hold second tap to boost.
- Random Mission Generator and New Game +
- Tier 4 level weapons and equipment
- 2 Player Split-screen co op.
- Add a Restart Level Option in the Pause menu. It's annoying to have to look at a defeat screen and load back to the hanger every time.
- Boost Jump. For when enemies push you into a stuck area. Got pushed into the server area in the underground base mission and couldn't get out. Could be used to stomp on smaller enemies as well. Mech smash!
- Instead of the mech spinning in the hangar when viewing, pan the camera around instead. It would feel more natural. A giant mech spinning around in a hangar? Not so much.

Other than that, for being made by one person, this game is an absolute blast and I've definitely, without a doubt, got my money out of it in the 11 hours of pure enjoyment I spent playing it. I can't wait to see where this game goes in the future!

Timers for numerous things are an absolute must.
Hold out missions: How much longer? How many more waves? No idea, no info given.
NPC Artillery/Big Gun attack: How long before it's ready? No idea, no info given.
Active Skills: How long before my ability is ready? No idea, the icon is hard to see and there's no info given.

Hitboxes need to be fixed. I can't count the number of times over half my vulcan salvo was wasted, flying off to mountain miles behind the target because, even though my crosshair was on the target, the hitbox didn't match the visual. Or the skitterers, shooting them requires shooting lower than their center mass, because the hitbox is smaller than the model.

Like you said, Bruce, a Restart Mission option. And also a "skip dialogue" option. Most of the dialogue is amusing and I enjoyed it. But when I have to hear the same cheesy lines multiple times, over and over, because of a mission that's not been balanced... that gets annoying fast, especially when I have to go back to the HQ first.

I didn't have an issue with much of that, but then again, I don't often use missiles. Not knowing made the firefights more harrowing in my opinion. I'm on level 18 now, struggling a bit but it's a player issue, not a game issue.

I more than just like this game. I have mild cerebral palsy and scoliosis, love technology and mech games. Give me a mobile armour with built in compensation protocols and I bet my legs would work just fine. Thank you for you're reply, means a lot. Like really. So does your game.
