What is SuperEpic?

Superepic is a satirical and humorous Metroidvania style action adventure game, starring a racoon and a llama in their quest to save an Orwellian society from the rule of an evil corporation: RegnantCorp. An Enterprise who is controlling minds through abusive micro trasnsactions.

Presented as a non-linear and fast paced adventure, heavy on exploration, SuperEpic features a an extensive combo based combat system as the core gameplay and an economy driven progression, which parodies contemporary pay to win culture.

The package includes a Story Mode with several endings, an unlockable Roguelite Mode, featuring a card collecting system, and an amazing soundrack by composer Sonotrigger.

Additionally Superepic offers a unique (and optional) cross media experience, where hidden QR codes launch RegntantCorp's evil games to play on smartphones, uncovering rooms in the main game when the challenges are completed.

A Roguelite mode?

Yes! Besides the main Story Mode, SuperEpic contains an unlockable Roguelite Mode as part of the game's lore (don't worry, no spoilers here!). In this mode, the world is generated procedurally (so that every run is different from the previous one) and character progress is based on a collectible card system, which unlocks dozens of different weapons with crazy combat modifiers.

Do I need a smartphone to complete the game?

Not at all. The cross-media content is meant to enrich the story and lore, satirically presenting players the games that RegnantCorp is using to control society. However, SuperEpic is designed so that this content can be completely ignored and the game can still be completed (including all endings and achievements).

Do mini-games need to be installed?

No. Mini-games are directly playable from the browser on any smartphone, tablet or PC that can scan QR codes. We won't take any of your space to store adorable llama gifs!

Can abilities and equipment be upgraded?

Yes! SuperEpic features a wide variety of weapons, armors and accessories, that can be purchased, equipped and combined. Furthermore, new moves and abilities are unlocked as players make progress in the game and new combat techniques can be learnt. We're particularly fond of the llamaken.

Are there multiple save slots?

Yes, SuperEpic gives players 3 independent slots to chose from.

Are there any microtransactions in the game?

Why is the racoon riding a llama?

TanTan, the racoon, can't walk. His childhood friend, Ola the llama, always helps him get around. Specially when it's time to kick some RegnantCorp pig's butt.

Who developed SuperEpic?

SuperEpic has been developer by a small indie development studio named Undercoders, creators of games such as Conga Master. The game is published by NumSkull Games on Steam and Nintendo Switch.

Undercoders, y'all said in another thread that a guide was in the works due to so many players having issues progressing in the game. Any updates?

I'm so close to the end (91.2%), but there are so many things that make finding things super difficult (like the lack of pretty basic map identifiers) that I'm at my wits end... I need to take a break after doing so much useless backtracking, but I know that when I pick up the game again in a couple of days, all the random map details I've stored in my short-term-memory will be gone (oof)...
