The Only Japanese Top Scorers?!?

Ok, so after 37 Hero runs, I decided to do something different, i've seen pretty much every S rank friendship scene, all the secret events and such, so after seeing so many playthroughs where the MVP is always Hero or Tsubasa, and the Top scorer is always Tsubasa, Hero or Hyuga, I wanted to see if I could make any other Japanese player the top scorer by the end of the tournament.

The answer is, regrettably, you CAN'T. This is BS, I kinda wanted to see what the other players would say to X player.

So here's some info;

First 'crappy hero' run, I did Toho as a DF, and when Youth Tournament came along, I made sure neither Hyuga nor Tsubasa would score goals, I always made sure to get Nitta the ball, and always made sure that Nitta would score. By the end of the tournament, Nitta had 8 goals to his name, and.... the top scorer was Schneider from Germany. BOOOOO.

Second 'crappy hero' run, I went MF with Musashi, made sure my homebrew character NEVER DID ANYTHING. Straight D's and Failed Objectives all throughout. By the way, if you fail objective every game, you get your first 400 point bonus by the Italy game, which is literally, you have to TRY to fail to get that bad, my hero ended up with straight 65-70s in every stat by the end lol.

Anyhow, this time I tried to make Sano my top scorer. Sano scored in EVERY game. Ended up scoring 11 F-kin goals in 6 games. I even made sure to go USA route to make SURE Schneider couldn't possibly be the top scorer....

Top scorer ended up being Napoleon from France. YOU MOTHER*******!!!!! You mean to tell me no Japanese players other than Hyuga , Tsubasa and Hero are allowed to be top scorers?!!?!?!?

Worse still, MVP can literally only be Tsubasa if you screw up as hero, even IF you do absolutely nothing in any game with Tsubasa... like... this is lame.

Anyhow, I wrote down all the goals I scored, if you're interested, I can show you the numbers.

Your post reminds me of all cutscenes, where they praise person X for doing so great in that match, even though they didnt do anything at ALL. For example that cutscene, where you unlock Tsubasas and Misakis Twinshot. They are being praised for having done such a great job in that match, even though my own character scored 15 million times in said match.
Sadly Bandai was a bit lazy with such things. Someone even won against germany in the 2nd scrimmage, but the game continued normally, as if japan had lost.

Yeah, it's ridiculous how HARD it is to turn around that 0-6 into a 7-6 and they still show you the 'we lost' sequence. We went through the trouble to do it and they take away our victory...

Same with the top scorer. I went through HELL to make sure Sano could score as many as possible only for the game to say "Oh by the way, Napoleon got the most goals, whoopsie!"

Like... this is super lame and lazy.

Yeah, I love how in the Italy match Zino goes "MAN, Hyuga, your shot was AMAZING!" even if you only score the one free goal with him and score 5 with your own hero. I mean he still praises you too, but he praises Hyuga FIRST???

Worse, if you only score 2 with your hero and score the free Hyuga goal, he ONLY praises Hyuga! You have to score 3 minimum for Zino to have the special scene with your hero!

You literally have to avoid passing the ball to Hyuga in the entire second half if you want Zino to ignore Hyuga

I hate it, because sometimes the ball gets accidentally passed to him or worse, Italy scores and then when you kick off, it automatically triggers Hyuga's goal.

You can't avoid it sometimes.

Worse, you can't switch Hyuga out of the Italy game. He's locked in, which is BS

Haha yeah I remember that. I tried leveling my shooting level with my MF character. I weakened Hernandez down to 10% HP, when all of a sudden I accidently passed the ball to Hyuga. Saddest day of my life. It wouldnt be that much of a problem, if I didnt suck so hard with TEC based shooters. I feel like, that pow based shooters have a much easier time in scoring than their TEC based rivals. TEC is all about positioning and luck, right? Because I got my character Diaz' super shot. It wasnt as effective, when used inside the penalty are. A bit outside of the penalty area and a bit of luck, makes TEC shots really cool.

Lol, I had that same bs happen to me. I go OUT of my way to weaken Zino purposefully using Tsubasa so as to avoid triggering Hyuga's goal, then BAM suddenly I can't stop Tardelli and he passes to Rusciano, I dont have full V Zone so I eat a goal, then kick off, Hyuga wastes my effort just like that, 20 minutes of effort gone.

You're right, Tec guys are WAY harder to build, they are only good vs human opponents lol. With a power based shooter, it's easy; get power to 90+, then tack on Destroyer + Menacing Shot and you have a scoring god. With tec guys, you can only trigger that goalie stun the very first time usually, then you have to find 'a sweet spot' to score more. It's way unbalanced.

yeah, try making anyone but Tsubasa, Hero or Hyuga your top scorer. You can't. Game wont let you even if you purposefully avoid using Hyuga or Tsubasa.

BTW, I could never get Tiger Shot to score 7-6 in 2nd Scrimmage, so I just did it the same way you did, with Drive Shot. I was depressed.

Yeah tec shots only work when used in the third zone of the midfield. So you need to make sure your tec based hero uses tec dribbles and plays on midfield. Also i found that miracle shots are better than normal versions.

Yeah you totally have to build 'em differently, with stuff like King Of The Midfield, Longshot Shooter and Sniper (the more powerful version of sniper, actually)

Power guys are way simpler, you just do every goalie wrecking skill you can + young ace + kaiser dribble or dump truck dribble and you're god

The more powerful version of sniper is precise shooting right ? I think sawada has it.

The more powerful version of sniper is precise shooting right ? I think sawada has it.

Precise Shooting, correct. I just momentarily forgot the name.

I dunno, but to me it's like an insurance policy to have Longshot Shooter... I tend to get more goalie stuns with it equipped than not... or maybe it's just my own brain playing tricks on me?

Could you provide some good skills for a MF player, that relies on TEC? I'm currently on 99 TEC (Had no idea that it caps at 99)
And just so I get it right. My best bet to score with TEC shots is shooting from a bit away from the penalty zone, right? Like 3-4 meters away from it?
