I can't beat Italy after 11 new heroes?!
I have 11 custom characters, so I have finished the new hero mode 11 times. Some of the characters are even pretty good.

Now, i'm on my 5th MF and I can't beat Italy. They counter every move i make, every dribble, every tackle and I can't do anything, Italy destroys me and I recently lost with 8-2.

I literally surrounded one of the Italian players in front of my goal with 5 of my own players and they all took turns tackling and sliding, and they all failed, then the Italian guy instantly shot his super shot. And during the second half, Italy had V-zone activated 3 times.

I have never had this much trouble before, what is going on?

A bit off-topic, but got any advices on how to raise/build a DF character @ Asalieri?
I'm aiming for a DF character on the Musashi Road. I usually ended up getting D ranks on passes and tackles, which sadly resulted in my FW not getting any good long passes.

OOf. I usually go with Toho when I do a DF run. Musashi can be tricky, as no one on your team except for Misugi can really score and as a DF, you're not really supposed to be on that job. Worse, in the Toho match you have no Misugi to bail you out, sometimes it can be hard to get the SS required to fulfill the Great Success.

That said, the whole idea of raising a DF is so you can use them later, presumably, against other human players. So anything that increases block power and range, like the Wall skills and Wakado Karate from Wakashimazu, as well as Lucky Boy from Morisaki all good skills to put on your defenders.

I just started my Musashi run and boy oh boy...
Musashis rng great success missions are going to be hell, once I reach the international cup. Guess I'll go for a MF instead. Overall I think I like Matsuyamas team Furano the most. It's the most straight forward mission out of them all. Toho is nice, though can be a hassle without the Toho skill (The one that turns success into great success). And Musashis rng missions are just kinda annoying IMO.

Spam Hyuga shot or Twin Shot (Tachibana brothers + Your Character or Tsubasa + Misaki).
Save your V-ZONE to active Goal Keeper Super Save when Rusciano use his Super Shot.

* Tips:
- Use dribble that have Tech boost for faster Special Shot.
- Use tactics "Combination Formation" for easy Twin Shot.
- When Rusciano have the ball don't rush to tackle him, try to chase beside him wait until he charge his shot, immediately rush tackle him.

I usually get this match done with 2-0 or 3-0 with custom character score 2 shot.

I agree, Furano is the least stressful of the three no matter what position you choose.

Toho is great for DF runs because Hyuga scores 4 easily on all those school teams, meaning you have all the time in the world to score 4 quickly with Hyuga and devote the rest of the match time to SSS'ing with your hero.

Even in the International matches, Hyuga's your guy. Neo Tiger Shot happens so early and always scores on literally every team. It one shots Muller after you score once on him, too. You just gotta score that first painful one on him, and then the rest come easy.

Play the sideline with with misaki, golden combo with tsubasa to get to the final strech of the field, this while having Kojiro and Sawada in combo overlap. Cross into the box and repeat until the golie breaks.

The difficulti lvl of this "masterpiece game" is so gosh dangit broken...
One story match: Easy 9:0 win, next one 7:1 lose and no chance against the npcs... ???
Nearly every day i play this game, i want to give it a new negative review.
They should give the people the chance to choose one damnit difficulti lvl they want to play in and the thing is done! I cant understand why they force the player into this...

It DOES help you get better, though. If it was one static difficulty, it would get too easy.

I like that the better you play, the better your enemy plays.

I agree that it helps you getting better but it's rather infuriating when you can't stop a guy who runs towards your goal, no matter how much you try to tackle or slide him down. Not even the "wait for him to shoot" trick works.
I have come to the conclusion that Italy are my weakness, cus I can dominate Germany, USA and Brazil in the finals and get SSS match rank. But Italy are always a problem for me for some reason.

I agree with you there. There are these moments, where Italy thinks: "You wanna steal the ball? Try again tomorrow noob!" If that's the case, you could use a rocket launcher or a tank, but you'd NEVER be able to steal the ball from them. Especially Tardelli. I hate that guy SOOOOOOOOOOO much. Once he has the ball, he almost 100% guaranteed will reach the goal. And their broken Cantenazzio doesnt help either. It forces you to outlive that stupid V-Zone. Other than that, I really love this game. I even dont mind the dynamic difficulty. It keeps the game fresh. Ofc after 3 runs+, it might get annoying, if your main goal is simply a new character for your team. But Italy being your weakness might be easily explained. They are the first REAL threat, that you have to play against. Great GK, great FW and extremely strong V-Zone, while you just completed your first baby steps e.g no super shots etc.

There are certain players on each team that do that... Kaltz in Germany, for example. The idea is always avoid the side of the field where the 'invincible' players happen to be if at all possible.

Right now, i'm doing a 'my guy sucks!' run where i'm trying to make Sano the top scorer. I'm purposefully doing absolutely nothing with my hero character (I named him Failure) so he gets D's in all stats (although he's gotten B's in block or intercept just because he happens to be standing there when a ball comes his way)

So far i've scored 6 goals with Sano and i'm on the Argentina match... I really wanna see someone be top scorer who isn't Tsubasa, Hyuga or Hero at this point...

Italy was the worst offender so far. Try scoring on them with Sano, it's like trying to attack a tank with a fly swatter

Yes, Tardelli and Conti. They are the worst.

Sano has the hidden banana shot, right? I have never used it. Currently, im trying to get Misugi's super shot. I have all the players on the field but the cutscene doesn't trigger for some reason.

Yeah, but you need Jito to activate it. And against Italy, that's a nightmare to pull off.

Man, the Argentina match I keep accidentally scoring with Hyuga and having to restart lol. Even his regular tiger shot scores on these chumps sometimes

Oh yeah.. the tiny guy who heabutts the ball after Jito's long pass.

So, do you have any tips on USA? Cus I think I raised the difficulty again after my 5-0 win against France and they are really nasty this time. Ryan's super shot is just OP as hell and im trying to get that shot with my new MF so I need A or S in shot rank which is very hard to get against their goalkeeper.

So I too struggled against USA. Let me tell you...
Beating USA is INSANELY hard. I probably had to restart 30 times. In the end I gave up on scoring with my characer, because I picked the wrong super shot. But from what I have found out in those matches is following.
1. Do not, I mean NEVER ever try to tackle or slide into the USA players. You'll only end up boosting their V-Zone and also their dribble buffs. Instead, be a patient player. What I mean by that is, that you ABSOLUTELY need to follow them to your goal. Doing so will make them use their spirit to a point, where they cant charge super shots any longer. Only tackle them, when they have nearly no spirit left. I usually followed Blake or Ryan to my goalpost. They arrived in front of it with barely any spirit, thus they couldnt charge SS any longer. I cant stress out enough NOT to tackle them, no matter how tempting it is.If you follow them close enough, they are usually too scared to charge a SS.
2. Always keep your full V-Zone for a last resort save. You will need your V-Zone in times, where Blake or Ryan were able to fully charge a shot. From what I can tell, their fully charged shots are 200% assured goals.
3. 75% of all time, the USA players tend to use slide moves, so try sprinting a lot. Sadly they sometimes tackle too, but from my own experience, they love sliding into you.
