Either you're shooting it towards nothing, or you've never seen it's full animation. It's like Pierre's super shoot that makes a curve, touches the ground and makes an extremely sharp turn towards the goal. Of course, this is if you shoot from the midfield. If you shoot in the penalty box, it's a pretty straigthforward shoot.
i've done that shoot a hundred times and it always connects, so, you should check that,

Hey, I'm wondering if figuring out how to make the shot plays out its full animation is worth it. I mean is it better for, say, Neo Drive Shoot to be shot from half the pitch or inside the box? Is there any difference? I'm thinking that firing inside the box is better since the shooting power won't decrease due to distance.

Also, I'm wondering what does DROP OFF means in the shooting stat?

Ok so, let's go one by one.
The full animation of the Alternative Miracle Overhead is to work with Technique and Speed. If you shoot it on the penalty area, it will take into account only your Power and Speed, like most direct shoots do. It's fitting for Diaz because he's a very speedy MF that can easily pull out the full charge and get the full animation. Every shoot that you see that has Long Range in it, works better at long/mid range.

Drop Off only means that it will take into account how much the shot travelled before connecting with the goalie. It does this to see how much damage it does to it. If it says Low, that means you can shoot it from long or mid distances without worrying too much for the damage falloff. But if it says HIGH, you better take that shoot at the penalty area to Maximize the damage it does to the GK.

Ahhhh I see! That's pretty enlightening. I don't know if the shot inside the box use different stats than if you do it from outside. So you're saying that speed is pretty important since it is always counted for you shots right?

Does this also works for GK? I mean power and defense count against inside the box shots and technique + defense against long ranged?

So it doesn't matter if the shot animation is complete, as long as LONG ranged shots are shot outside the box, it will have it's full effect?

Lastly, you mentioned about Diaz's speed and how fast he pull off his shots. So basically speed also affects how fast you fill the kick (and I assume long pass) gauge? I thought it was technique as it is explained in the game's tutorial.

1) For Long Shots, only a few have a wacky animation like Diaz's. Pierre's super shot is one such instance. The Alternative Miracle Overhead is the only shot that has two properties at long distance (if you don't count Soda's Razor Shot which is inferior in every way), the rest work best as Technique/power shots. That's why is so expensiv, it allows you to choose according to the situation.

2) That's something we are testing right now, we want to see if Speed on a Goalkeeper means their reflexes work against the opponent's Technique (like Def against Pow) or it's just Technique vs Technique

3) With speedy I meant that Diaz is made for fast Dribble Dash (his born to dribble and high-speed South American Dribble are the proof), stealing the ball/Dribbling opponnents, and then charging the shot in a blink. You're right when you say that Tecnique is the stat that allows you to charge the shot faster. Victorino is the extremely watered down version of Diaz.

Wow... you really are knowledgable about this game despite it's a new release.. I really appreciate the help. Just two more questions please... 1) What does offense stat do? I'm assuming it's how much damage we deal to opponent's spirit after we dribble through them, but then again, I think it might be the tech stat that counts. 2) Some of my shots sometimes make the opponent goalie dumbfounded and conceded although he has full spirit. What gives? It usually happened with Drive Shot from the middle but then again it's not 100%. Hyuga's Tiger Shot has done it a couple times too... Do you know anything about it?

1) Offense affects direct offense actions, like direct shoots and offensive dribbles. It's very important for FW becuase that's what will make them get the one hit KO that you always want

2) Yep, that's Technique. It adds the possibility to leave the GK standing there, dumbfounded. MF abuse this because their main stat is TEC. Paired with their dribbles and TEC based special shots, they excel in doing this. And it's possible for other players to do the same, but the % is much, much lower because their TEC stat is not that high
