Does it have cross-play?
If it doesn't I don't know what system to buy it on.

PC is best for me. . . I don't really play PS4 anymore, and Switch probably has VERY unstable online but maybe will have the highest player-base?

Most multi-platform games like this probably will have a very small PC community and it will make finding games/etc. difficult, right?

Thoughts?

They didn't advertise anything about crossplay so I guess the game doesn't have it.
They would be talking about it otherwise.

The size of the "permanent" player base will depend a lot on how good the gameplay is, the netcode and the way it handle matchmaking/ranking. I really hope they did think about that last one cause it's very important.

Beside that I fairly sure the game will sell very well on PC and the player base at the beginning will be pretty big.

anime games usually don't do so well on PC actually ... Hope this game isn't too much oriented Multiplayer I will probably play solo modes most of the time if playerbase is bad

Dragon Ball Fighterz did very well.
Most don't do well because they are garbage.
This one looks seriously good and the fanbase is pretty big.

True even Tekken 7 does good for some years now. It's like if the game isn't amazing the PC playerbase will be really low but on PS4 even not so good anime games get a decent community online. I guess it is what it is.

Tekken is not anime XD. FighterZ and Guilty Gear are Fighting Games, Like Tekken, Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter. But it is not good to compare because we are talking about Fighting Games base, not just anime. With tsubasa we would talk about the fanbase and ...¿ fifa / pes players? CT: Dream Team players too?

Getting back to the point. Switch = Wifi players = very bad experience.
Maybe in the future they will add Crossplay (like Dead by daylight, for example). I hope so

I have loved Captain Tsubasa since the early 90´s when it first arrived to my country.

But i have to be honest with you guys, do not expect a big community on PC after the first three months of release, because the majority of shooter and sports gamers play on PS4.

If you are buying the game only and exclusively for it´s multiplayer offering, you may be much better off playing the game on PS4 because you can bet your soul on that it will end up being the dominant platform before long.

With that being said, if you are like me, and you do not care much for the online and you are mostly buying the game for the story mode and above all, for EPISODE NEW HERO, which finally allows us to take part in the world we so love, then PC is the way to go.

Online should stay active for at least a handful of months, which is more than enough to enjoy the game and justify the price, and the vantage of PC is that it will be moddable, adjustable and there are a lot of un-official things that can be done to it that will never be available on PS4.

TLDR:

ONLINE:PS4
SINGLE PLAYER: PC

That's exactly why I'm in a predicament. I'm essentially buying it for multiplayer and I don't have that Sony Online subscription and am unwilling to buy it only for this game. And yes the Switch version is probably endless lag and the PC version will have the smallest community . . . .

:(

I'm getting this game to play online mostly as well and I'm definitely not getting it on either consoles as they both apparently are 30fps locked, I'd be very surprised if it'll be locked to 30 on pc as well but I doubt it however I'm not gonna play this game forever of course so for me a few months of very high active player count is good enough but even after the period where most ppl have left there will still be for sure a dedicated fan base who will still play this game actively on pc etc. so yeah in my opinion just get it on PC :).

Is the single player content enough to warrant the price?

There is no crossplay on any platform.

Just curious, do you know how many games that support crossplay?
