I did nothing yet everyone hates me
This poison modifier is on all my neighbours for a town of 200 innocent little Tilapis. Someone is really having it in for me!

So now everyone* hates me and I can't set up any trading relations, nor is there any viable way to improve relations since I am too poor for anyone to care and obviously I don't have emissaries.

In general this poison modifier seems a bit too strong.
And also I would suggest:
-To be able to see who is doing the poisoning
-Increase the threshold for when someone starts poisoning by quite a bit
-Remove the poison modifier (over time?) if you declare war on the poisoner
-Or at least some other kind of counter to this mechanics.

That is odd. I tried to reproduce this just now, but my 200 Tilapis are well-liked by everyone.
It appears that the kinship modifier broke recently somehow.

Are you on V68.6?

Kinship is gone it seems. There's just poison ranging from -2 to -4 and nearneses. No other modifiers.

Yeah, I know what you mean, human factions don't like my Dondorian city state. They complain I don't treat members of their race very well, lol

Ye, the same. Human city, surrounded by cretonians, and everybody hates me cuz "poisoning" for some reason, though i employed emmisaries only when reached 1k population

This will be changed. At the moment, poisoning can be self-sustaining.

If only this could be fixed with a quick patch, otherwise playing on 68 is not possible
