Is graphics ever going to get some attention?

I tried the demo, and for a game that should be everything I want in a game, it was just a hard no way. I can't tell what ANYTHING is. It's like looking at those old spyplane photos from the 60's with descriptions, "This is a barracks, this is a silo," I'd have to be a military analyst to decipher anything.
Could we even possibly get to rimworld level? That's not asking very much. I almost snorted coffee out of my nose when I read dev note on 'added blood to corpses.' I mean, really? What does that even mean, maybe some sprinkled red pixels on a blob of brownish pixels thats supposed to be a body?
Serious question. I've read the dev notes, etc, and don't see the dev addressing this anywhere.

oh they look so fine to me. I sometimes spend minutes just looking at the grass sway at the wind (dat thicc shader so sweet)... I see things they can improve but I do hope it stays pixel art forever

yeah it takes some getting used to but most stuff is relatively fine i do hope the citizens can get a bit better looking though from top down if you zoom in

"That's not asking very much" Yeah asking a one man dev team to redo all the art in a game totally isn't asking very much. The reason this isn't being addressed it because it's obviously by design and the style the dev is going for.

You know it's okay to say that you don't personally like the graphics. You don't need to pretend like it's a bug that needs to be addressed.

No you are talking about preference. Because everyone else here is demonstrating their preference for the graphics and doesn't suffer any issues with playability. If you're the only one in the room that dislikes something and everybody else likes something you can't then claim it's objectively bad. That is just childish and you know it. Just admit to yourself that you personally don't enjoy it and carry on with your life like a grown adult.

Also I didn't call you a liar. Just implied you were a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to dare suggest the developer remake their games entire artwork because you specifically have trouble understanding it. The fact that you read the dev notes expecting it to say "totally changed the artwork for one guy" is just pure main character syndrome.

Let's also not forget that you have only played the demo. So in what world do you have any right to even type the phrase "not asking very much" for changes to software you haven't even paid for?

Be kind to other people, if you want people to be kind to you. You were a bit mean in the way you presented your argument and you got back a bit of a mean comment. Now instead of having a discussion about graphic improvements you are arguing over dumb crap.

the faces need improving, imo. they look too cartoony in contrast to the realistic architecture.

also i always play zoomed out at 2x or 3x to minimize the pixelation.

I think the existing pixel art is quite nice looking -- its a unique style and it sets the game apart from others. The only suggestion I have would be an option to tone down (or maybe a transparency adjuster) for the dizzying effects when it is snowing - but if the developer doesn't want to implement that, no big deal for me.

discussions over taste aside, I think one should also keep the scope and depth of the game in mind. I think the more "simpler" look enables the current vastness of the game.
