problem with pastures

I made a new game and started making a pasture. I was preocuppied with other other things so nearly an hour after the pasture was made, I revisited it and it was still at 0. So I deleted it and made another one, but the same thing happened. Am I missing something?

Pastures need Livestock, you gain Livestock from hunters. They will capture and "tame" randomly, and they can be bought, sold or placed in pastures.
If you are having it not build, then create more builder positions and they should build with the requires items.

Makes sense now, since in all my other games. I made hunters before making pastures. Thank you.

Well, it doesn't seems to be working, been waiting for a while and still nothing after having two hunters.

I fixed the problem by importing livestock.

it worked for me to just assign a crate for livestock in my storage, i guess hunters filled them up then

I already had a crate for pasture :/

They need to be able to reach the livestock from the pasture unfortunately. Easiest is to set up a hauler close to it and have it haul it there.

Confirm this works.
I note that if you hunt Entelodonts you get leather, but if you farm them you don't.
However if you hunt anything, you generate livestock which can be used to populate Aurochs in pastures, since Livestock is non-specific.

Pastures also seem to be very low production now, I think it may be related to the same bug that makes farms very low production too.
