this is specific to the beta branch that you can download. its v67 right now
To be fair, so does Windows. You just don't get as many social exploits which is what most 'hacks' you hear about/see with MacOS due to it being a rather restricted group of folks using it... And the only reason why *is* the amount of users.
Ironically, there are probably as many actual threats against MacOS as there is windows, you just don't HEAR about them all due to the disparity in amount of people using each system.
there is plenty for a few decades now, worked in my early twenties with plenty of them in a support role, they always said my MAC cant have a virus... till you got them to run a proper system scan...
Generally speaking Mac users are better targets as they
- A must have enough money to waste
- B likely have a job with more interesting information to steal then a normal windows user
regarding the other guys fixed or not, is a question of perspective there is likely nothing wrong, but if you want to be over careful perfectly fine too.
That said windows defender should not be your go to for security of your computer and data, you should have professional software for it to keep you "safer".

Just thought I'd mention.
Actually it has.... a guy whom works at Defender posted in the Discord:-
<<Redacted name>> — 12/16/2024 7:14 AM
Follow up on this. Issue solved. File classified as false positive after review and no longer detected by Defender Antivirus. 👍🏿
Since then many have tried from Discord and confirm its now "clean"
OK, but I still cant start the game. Defender has the newest update from this morning.
We can't tell you for sure but it is likely to be a false positive. Half life 2 got a virus warning at the same time as Songs of Syx (back in mid November), could be Windows Defender receiving a faulty update which messed things up.
Make sure the mentioned .jar file is actually present in the folder.
its like saying cause you have .... you are automatically someone that forces his will on someone else without consent. could you do it yes, but i think 99.8% of people dont...
anyhow im unsubbing now from this topic as its getting a joke at this point...
