Are they within the radius of the warehouse? (It's a slider when you click on the warehouse)
Default in v65 is full map coverage but demo might be different, you might need to increase the radius to cover the Goods
The worker who picked the crop doesn't carry it back, the warehouse will send its own workers (do your warehouses have enough employees?)
Workstation doesn't bring them to the warehouse. Workstations are for constructing buildings and other odd-jobs. You need a hauler or a warehouse to pick the crops up. If the warehouse is too busy, build a hauler. Haulers are very handy, but need a lot of micromanagement.
The workers who forage the crops will haul them if they have nothing else to do, but they are very slow compared to a hauler. They will do other work first.
Personally, I think it's silly they have to make two trips to bring in the stuff, but that's how the game works.
