Slave Submission significant drops
I saw similar threads, but it was difficult to find common elements, so I will start my own.

I just started playing. I'm still playing around with the tutorial. And I reached a population of 1k. I have heard that Cantors are difficult to please, but on Amevias slaves I have found that slave satisfaction is easier to control. So I made it a point to buy a few Cantors at every opportunity. I got about 50 of them. In addition, 55 Amevians. That's 10% of my population.

After some WON fight against the invaders, my submission started to fall for no reason. Nothing in the city has changed, I haven't lost any troops. So there should be no reason for this to happen. In panic over losing the Cantors, I released all the Amevians, which lifted submission for a while. And then it started falling again.

I received notice that the slaves were becoming dissatisfied. So I started building statues etc to increase the environment stats of the cantors. I gave them the opportunity to furnish their homes. I gave them an extra set of clothes. Still no improvement.

I started releasing them one at a time, which lifted them into submission for a while, but then half of the bar turned yellow and they went back down.
No matter what I do, no matter how much I submit, the slaves still organize an uprising. And I'm losing the millions I spent on them
(at the moment slaves are only 5% of the population).

And this brings me to a few questions. What could have caused such a crazy, unstoppable fall to submission? And more importantly... is it possible to prevent an uprising when the first information about the slaves' dissatisfaction is received? Because to me it looks like a programmed event. Like a serial killer. You can't just catch him after 1 kill and he will keep killing. And the result depends on luck, not our decisions.I saw similar threads, but it was difficult to find common elements, so I will start my own.

First of all, which version are you playing?
For V66, i got a city right now with like 3.5k pop, ~800 of them slaves and submission isn't a big deal, always around 95-105%. For prorammed events, I'm at least not aware of any.

In general to keep the slaves calm:
- have some garison
- if your economy allows it, give them some stuff for their houses
- both awe and dread also give a submission bonus

for cantors, if you're doing it right, you can get them or agnosh as regular immigrants. but there are some hard requirements bound to them, like temple access, awe/dread etc. you most likely won't be able to please both.
