Other kinds of rooms don't have a designated place to have a 'door,' and are instead any opening in the walls, preferably with a ceiling instead. When you're building a room with the auto-wall toggle, you can use the door icon to create this gap. The door icon is the white house shape. But it's not an indivdual tile, again it's merely a gap in the wall.
Yes, that's the doorWAY, but there used to be actual DOORS, if I remember right there were a few different types of door, like a simple wooden door, and then a couple more that were stronger to keep enemies from getting into your buildings. And I'm not talking about Gateways for your city walls, but doors for individual houses/buildings. I don't even think they did anything, I just don't like the bare openings in the walls of my houses.
The only entity I've seen that fits the description is a Gateway, for a fortifiction.
20 minutes (for me it was 20 seconds) to figure out doors is expected. I've spent way longer figuring out other problems.
In V66, when constructing a building, you can add doors by using button 3rd from the left under "Isolation". Its has stupidly misleading icon that looks more like a house, not a door for some reason. Likewise the remove door is next to it.
Doors were removed a fair while ago...as someone already said these things...
I remember them...and why they got removed: "Doors don't do anything, so they are being removed" <-- Literal Gametron statement.
Ah, for the days of pointless, useless doors... Or not. To be fair, adding functional doors would be...meh. I'd rather not have MORE code trying to check literally everything that the door could, should, would, block or deter, including the pathfinding.
Also, OP: Half of them are dead, the other half occasionally finagle someone into covering for the dead ones to make a quick buck. Also, after Morrison died, they went to ♥♥♥♥.
Huh, at some point doors mitigated noise from workshops. Was the noise mechanic also removed or is there just no way to dampen it anymore?
