What does upgrading warehouses do?
When I hover over the upgrade button for warehouses, all I see is “Boost + (number).”

Can anyone explain what this is going to the warehouse?

It increases the capacity of crates. So, you dont have more crates inside, but all crates are just bigger. It is actually quite a big difference, so it is worth doing this at least in critical warehouses.

60=>300=>500 capacity per crate.

I THINK it also reduces spoilage, but I could be wrong

nope. the spoilage research only kicks in for stored goods, but the upgrades doesn't matter here.
