Unknown source of leather.

Okay this is driving me mad. SOMETHING is creating leather in my city, it's a mid sized city of 3k lizards and something, somehow is generating 200 leather per day. I'm only using the egg farm animals and I don't do cannibalism. Is this the spider temple? Is this an industry byproduct? Is it the fishermen? Is it desert Santa?

Edit: it's specifically production: 342, it's not colony tax or import.

I'm not sue which tooltip you mean, my resource tab is on the right side, its tooltip lists the sources for all the other resources correctly, Fish: +676 from fisheries, +1416 from taxes, -1060 from ration makers. The leather just shows the sink -234 boyers. did you mean that?

If you mean the graph you get after clicking the sources, it does list a mysterious production source for leather of +333 yesterday. To be clear I don't have any hunters either.

With regard to the mysterious production of +333. Well there you have it. The only things I can think of is either, trading, a gift (from other factions) or manual hunting. My guess it was a gift from another faction.

I do appreciate you thinking along! Sadly it's not that simple, this began way before I started importing further leather. Indeed this income of mystery leather has now grown large enough for me to not need further imports anymore. I'm not seeing any gift pop ups and it's 300 to 350 leather every day, up from 200 per day when I first noticed it.

I'm quite sure i'm not doing any manual hunting. My city did grow over a patch of egg birds and a pack of those sabertooth kitties, the patches have disappeared from the map. But maybe the game is still spawning and killing them? I haven't seen any such thing, but if that's the case there should be a source of mystery meat and maybe mystery eggs too.

I'm noticing more inconsistencies, my production of metal has been net negative for years but the stocks keep growing. Fish income seems way higher than the tab on the right indicates. I don't know which numbers to trust. Maybe there's some funky resource duplication going on with transports and or haulers. But that still wouldn't explain where the leather came from in the first place! Gah! This is getting harder and harder to ignore in my head.
