How to build round house?
Pls explain step by step, because you can't choose roundiness when building a home. Or maybe it's hidden somewhere.

There is an option build an 'ellipse' building which does the job. Or you can just build a square and add some blocks. All it really seems to count is blocks forming a diagonal wall.

I see, and how do I designate that ellipse building as house? Just place house inside?

You can use the different sizes of the houses to create "diagonal walls". With that I mean so they get a zigzag pattern to the outer walls.

I think --->>> Several 90 degree angles CLOSE TOGETHER should create roundness. When the 90 degree angles are too far apart they do not create roundness. Check the roundness overlay.

Houses can only be built in predefined shapes, which are all square, but you can remove the wall tiles on the corners and they will start emitting roundness.

This works with every building by the way - simply remove the one wall tile on a corner and that corner will be counted as round and will emit roundness. Just keep an eye on the isolation stat, because removing too many wall tiles could reduce isolation below 100% on small buildings.

Alternatively, if you don't mind wasting a bit of space, you can also build a wall tile just outside the default wall, onto any wall tile that's next to the corner tile, like a little protrusion that makes the corner look jagged.

Think of individual houses (apartments are easiest) as pixels and draw round shapes with them, that counts. I've been doing "donut" apartment complexes with apartments 3x long on the inside ring with a hole in the middle. I usually put a hearth, well, and stalls in the hole. Later I'll put a second ring around the outside.

I also build quarter or half-circle bakers, latrines, and carpenters that I can mix and match. Once the circle is complete, the roundness meter reads it as round.
