Only Jake knows. But I have side lined the game until then, I get a really nice civ going and I got the idea, just don't want to get to deep in and have an update force me to start over. So I wait ... and it's all good, love this game.

Is there any confirmation that the saves will be wiped?

I started a new one yesterday hahhaha. I want to at least keep the seed because I loved my map

you can always stay on the current update or even rollback to a previous version

Yeah but think me and op also prefer to play the latest version. So if we could know about save wipes that be an important info.

Personally I just want to try the same seed I'm in right now

you can. there are no "wipes". even if the update kicks, you can just revert back to the previous version and continue playing

Not revert back. I meant if old saves work on future versions. I recall v64 made v63 saves obsolete.

I have no interest in playing the outdated game and I understand steam allows me to rollback.

Jake has already stated at this point older saves will not work on future versions. That's why I'm holding out for now in starting up the game ... have a great strategy at this point and get a large happy pop, I'd hate to keep going and boom here comes v65.

Ah alright perfect, that was something I was wondering.

Personally I'll not wait for the update. I still want to try some stuff out so I don't mind going about with that city planning until the next update comes out
