population growth?
im in year 15, have steady food supplies, have plenty of extra housing, and my people are all happy... problem is, im stuck at 10 pop STILL. how the heck to i gain more population?

are you accepting immigrants ? maybe you are in a low population region

dont know how to accept them if theres something specific i need to do. the game wont let me do the tutorial. its just grayed out and not clickable, and there is nothing i can find ingame relating to imigration

you can accept immigrants by going into the citizens tab in upper left corner and clicking on population or you can right click on the species portrait on the right panel next to your resource bar

ah. i checked into that already. nothing ever showed up saying i can accept more people
might need to try a new save. sad realy. had a super defendable area in a clearing locked behind a cave chokepoint lol. crapload of gems in it

alight... run 2. year 25. happiness and loyalty have been at 100% since the beginning. i have been watching that area of population... never once had someone pop up as an immigrant. not in a low population area ether. worst yet, when i started, 2 of the pops randomly died of illness within the first 10 seconds

The species portraits on the right hand sidebar, the number on the top of each portrait is the amount of current members in your general population of this species. The number below is the number that want to immigrate. If this number is greater than zero, double click the portrait to let them in.

problem is. its always zero. i have only seen one above zero... and its the population i have from the start. i have looked in that tab so, so many times. but because it never shows anything past what i start with....

is that species happy ? it needs around 85% happiness for immigrants

again, 100% happiness. i figured it out. had to reload the save 6 times and it started raising migration...
tho now my research is dropping faster than my 18 researchers can get it in. not sure whats happening there

ya, something is up with research. 300 population now, 180 of them researchers. loosing 30 a day while they are working, 120 a night. level 2 research rooms. this is not ok

research points need to be maintained which counts allocated and available points so if you remove some researchers it will start declining

I am curious about this and haven't had time to test it : if you lose a tech (smelting for example) either because of declining maintenance or because you deselected it in the tech tree UI in order to regain the points, what happens to the existing buildings (in this case the foundry)? Can you still use the building? Are current jobs immediately cancelled? Does the building implode in a catastrophic release of entropic tachyons?

its declining rapidly without removing them like, right to the rate im loosing hundreds a day even with 230 reserchers.
