Irrigation for mushrooms?
Can irrigate mushroom fields? I get a blocked by structure message when I want to dig a canal underground.

Yes, I think theoretically you can, but there can not be water indoors, or in mountains, so it's a bit of a problem.

Does the output of the mushroomfarm depend on fertility of the soil?

I saw someone claim that mushrooms are unaffected, but I suspect that might be from a prior version. Looking at the fertility overlay, the mountains appear to have their own system of fertility. The pattern fertility propagates underground looks distinct from how it looks above ground. So when I'm guessing, I'd suspect mushrooms are subject to fertility.

Is there any advantage in making mushroom farms inside mountains or it's the same as if they're outside surrounded by walls?

Regardless of the lands actual fertility every time I've made a mushroom farm outside a mountain the fertility would be locked to at most 70%. Only time I've had 80-90% fertility for mushroom farms they were effectively inside a mountain. As far as irrigating them the best bet is finding a small mountain and digging canals around it hoping the radius effects more of the farm. Though in practice I've always just used the base fertility overlay and hollowed out mountains with high base fertility instead.

i've been building my mushroom buildings on the banks of rivers and gotten water boosted fertility but not mountain boosted, i think - the best i can do is 90% fertility, compared to 100% with the same farm, different crop

Right now I have 73% fertility farm outside of mountain. Ground fertility under it is around 86%.

I've never bothered to irrigate a mushroom farm to be fair, but they seem to have their own rules in regards to base fertility and where another crop would be 90-100% they're around the 70's. I just know they prefer being under mountain and have a higher fertility in them. It's possible they have a minus to fertility outside mountains and when inside a mountain they see the full effect of the ground fertility
