Murder
I lose a lot of citizens to murder and I have absolutely no idea how to control it. I see I get to start building guard posts at 200 pop but before then when someone gets murder it puts a real hamper on happiness which stops immigration and I stagnate around 120 every time. What should I be doing differently

Murder and crime is tied to happiness, so it's simply about keeping happiness high throughout your progress. Before it it was emigration, but now only slaves emigrate when unhappy.

Huh, just read up on that mechanic.
Had my first murder with 22 citizens and 100% happiness.
I was wondering why someone was dragging human-shaped giblets through the town...
Now I really wonder what happened there and if I can still find the culprit. Was it an argument? Was it jealousy? Was it a love affair? Main suspect is the guy that took his job. :cindersskull:
