How do army supply depots actually work?

I've got an army complaining about not getting supplies, but I've got army supply depots in my city completely full of every resource they'll take... just sitting there. They've got employees, but they're all just kinda standing around. Is there someone ELSE who's supposed to actually deliver it? And if so how do I get them to do their jobs?

Is your map open and not closed? Do you have all three types of supplies? You need rations, clothes and drink.

your army has to be idle in your own territory in order to able to gradually get all the supplies stacked in your army depots .

The map is open, and I have a depot each for those plus one for armor, all full. But at the time my army was outside my territory, so if antisocial is correct that was my issue.

Im having the same problem, Have over 10k in rations in the army depots but the army keeps deserting due to low supplies

I was having the same issue till I fortified in my own territory.
