import depot
am i right in thinking that i can only import one item into an import depot?

One kind of item at a time, yes. I found that it seems like you can switch to another import while another one is already in transit, and so you can potentially have multiple different imports coming in at once at a single import depot.

The dev replied to a comment about this the other day about both the import and export and it sounds like he's going to switch it back to multiple items per building in an upcoming update.

oh ok thanks allot i wasnt sure as you can change the percentage of what you can import (which i dont really understand) i wondered if it worked the same way as the the ware house worked

The percentages are so you don't buy or sell too much. If you set the import at say 10% it will stop importing once you reach 10% of your total storage capacity. So your warehouse setting works in conjunction with the import/export setting. I hope that makes sense if not let me know and I'll try to explain it better.
