Please help - red error when entering username and password

Is anybody else having this issue. I start the game, push enter on the saved file and then the game loads and as with everything it asks you to type in the username (data) and some password. As you all know you just need to type in random keys since it auto fills. What happens to me is that i do this then press enter and then i get e red "error" message displayed in a line across the screen. Then the the screen remains grey and I can't see anything, when i push enter, esc or any other keys i can hear the sound of typing but nothing happens, the screen remains grey.

Am i doing something wrong? is this part of the gameplay? Any help would be welcome.

there's also some extras glitching effect - so i think some part of it must be intended - but I'm not sure how you're supposed to proceed

So I seemed to have fixed this issue by either loading the game several times or loading the "development" branch in the beta tab on Steam

That definitely does not sound right. We've had to touch that screen for the campaign editor yesterday. Some mistake might have snuck in. Thanks for the report. We'll check it out.

We pushed a small quickfix update, this should be fixed now. Please let us know if you can progress again :)
