Yeah that correct, in my opinion this feature will give a more realistic 'look and feel'.
In my experience using consoles at work I learned that using the arrows is a real time waster because of the arm movement, that's why consoles and programs like 'vim' avoid this.
This is just my opinion, I'm not a game developer. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
I am a software developer by trade and typing speed is grossly overrated. I never felt the issue you are describing, but I do know that hardcore Vim and Emacs fans do exist and argue this issue to death.
In this particular case adding this functionality will mean that some bugs will not be fixed or something else will not be done. Also this feature will matter to a small number of fans and hardly really something that will bump the sales.
I never talked about typing speed or something like that.
I'm not a Vim fan but I see that you felt offended in some strange way.
I repeat I'm not a game developer, so if some bug is not going to be fixed because of this (I don't see why that would happen anyway), just ignore it.
It is really sad to hear that something is not going to be done never because few people care or because it does not sell.
PD: Even Gmail and Outlook have this feature enabled by default.
