Voiceover is definitely possible as a selling point for console ports.
Bahahahahah, you serious? It's still good ol' Ryukishi07 dude-in-a-garage indie graphics (with a not-so-indie price tag attached). It's anything but doubtful that it will be revisited if they want to sell it to a larger, non-diehard public. Especially at this price.
The company that remade Higurashi and Umineko, Alchemist, isn't around anymore either.
I love these sprites, but they are absolutely not professional quality. If there's a console release there will almost certainly be redone sprites and backgrounds. Also yes, Alchemist may not be around, but Higurashi is still getting new console releases with new content of the very same quality as Alchemist's releases, so I think it'd be fair to say that really has no bearing on anything.
