Yes you can just need to get some bamboo first Build a bamboo deck then put the Grass or Bamboo hull on it 1 deck can connect 3 I think and you can Dismantle your older boats for resources back

wow, 1 sail, i went with 6
Not sure if there is a limit, but so far i have 9 hulls connected into 3 longs ones, each with a deck(9), and 6 sails.

Sounds like she'd be hard to stop. Too much momentum. lol I have 2 sails and she slides like crazy after a certain amount of speed.

A catamaran with the pontoons (boats) being 2 structures long, with 2 sails, is fast as hell. But she slides... A lot... especially at higher speeds XD but it is SO fun to sail!

That's why you make a Bamboo sail and a Grass sail. Bamboo on the one closest to you when you're sailing, and grass on the further deck. This makes a main sail/jib combo and is actually quite effective. I just got the achievement for going 30m/s for 3s with it. It's a simple setup, but effective. Now, making an actual multi-deck mega-sailboat will be interesting... Unfortunately, those stupid lizards in Chapter 3 surprised me twice. Once by their little vanishing act, and once with their ability to grab and poison you at a long distance... I'm done for a bit. All I need is to kill ONE so I can make an axe, and finally start making wooden boats... but nope. Denied. I need a break. That killed my enjoyment for today.

quick tip: make a bow, ideally the long range one but not necessary. makes that dude real easy to beat

also, quick warning for anyone reading this. Building a boat is fun, but keep in mind that if you die, in either difficulty mode, your boat is gone and its resources too. And saves won't help you, as it autosaves again as you respawn in limbo, so reloading just puts you back there not at the time of your manual save.

I went for something in between, and had two double length hulls with a platform at the rear. It's worked well for me as a compromise between speed and handling.
