I think the game is more of a continuation than any real fundamental changes.. which is a good thing IMO as the first one was great. It's not being called Vaporum 2 and as I understand it it all comes down to the budget so i'd expect some reused assets (not an issue imo) but AFAIK this will be reflected in the purchase price.
Personally really looking forward to this title as the first one was one of the best Dungeon Master (By FTL) style games in the last 10 years or so.
1) It's a full game with a new story, new levels, new hero, new enemies (but the old ones are still included), etc. The gameplay time is at least equal to Vaporum, but probably even longer. While this was started as a "datadisk" to Vaporum, it grew to a fully fledged standalone game. :)
2) It's a longer list that I am generating "on the fly" now - I might forget some things - sorry:
* Improved gameplay and performance.
* Expanded RPG system (we have minions now :wink: ).
* New hero with her own storyline taking place just before the start of Vaporum.
* New levels.
* New boss.
* New lore to discover.
* New puzzle mechanics.
* Special floor with harder puzzles.
* More open exploration and story progress compared to Vaporum.
3) The RPG system has been expanded and streamlined. The new rig that was added to Vaporum in a free update is included from the start. There are new weapon types, new armor types, new items, new build possibilities and synergies.
Also, Lockdown improves controls (including controller controls) and adds a lot of quality of life features.
Hope this helps! :)
Spread the word! Thanks!
Cheers!
Thank you for the support! :)
Thanks also for your efforts to provide Linux port again!
Interesting! Glad to hear that! We'll jump on the Linux and Max ports right after we fix some of the big issues people will be reporting.
Cheers!
Glad to hear that! Have you chosen your Rig and build path yet? :)
I just got to that part...not sure what to pick lol. I would say the first game I believe I picked the combat focused rig...thinking of going tech this time.
Gonna go combat this time and bad up some... stuff
(and yes, they will bad me up more ofc)
Combat is one of the most enjoy-able builds for me. My last test playthrough I played some kind of a WH40K double chainsword wielding smashing machine - loved it.
Got the dual wielding module for two-handed weapons in one hand ... attacks have been a little slow - but the damage ... oh! so sweet! :)
I would suggest the "Minion Overlord" build - with energy rifles and gadget support. :)
