As someone who has played this game for a while though, it just doesn't feel correct. Rather like it feels out dated. So from my experience you should expect to see more consistent pregnancy when both nephs are like 100+ on their fertility, and of course the higher the better. Just remember it'll never be a 100% guarantee.
This is likely a bug they happen to get stuck with.
Either that, or they forgot to buy barns.
The stats given are from prior to the 754.2 build. That build introduced the stat ranking system (E,D,C,B,A, & S) and also increased the numerical values of the stats themselves.
I initially thought the increase was by a factor of 10 so that 25% in the example would need to be 250 (or 100 + 150). That is consistent with my experience and also with the 100+ suggestion you make.
This seems to be roughly correct but there are 2 things that make me think it isn't quite right:
1. The fertility stat (as well as all the others) maxes out at 1500 at rank S. If this is scaled up by 10, that would equate to 150% which is pointless if the cap is 80% or even if there were no cap. It does make sense if the scores are averaged rather than added as in the example but the author hasn't given any clue about that.
2. The Breeders Notice Board often has requests that seem to be on the old system. So you might see a request for a nephelym that has Allure of 11, for instance. If my theory is correct, that would mean the candidate would have to have at least a score of 110, but it will allow scores of much lower. That probably just means the notice hasn't been re-coded to take the new system into account, so it might not even be relevant. This is, after all, a work-in-progress.
Yes there is a limit. Each barn can only hold a maximum of 60 nephelym. If your barn is already at maximum capacity that might prevent pregnancy although I've not tested that.
