Impossible Quest?
I got the quest from the orc chieftain for a futa akebeko with fertile. But futa and fertile are incompatible. Whenever i get one its dormant and the quest won't let me complete it with them. But when I bred a female akebeko with fertile, it also doesn't let me turn it in because it wants a futa. Do I have to reload to before I took the quest to be able to get it as a female requested or is there another way?

I heard the only solution is to reload an older save from before you got the quest from the orc chieftain, turn off futa, then accept the quest, which then requires a female instead of futa.

I wish there was another way, but there currently isn't.

I can't do it without starting over as I don't have an earlier save.

having the same problem, i guess I have to start over since the beginning, this definetly needs a fix

Huh, this must be randomized. I saw this thread and said "Oh sh**, I just got this quest, is it messed up?" I just reloaded my latest save and the quest distinctly says she wants a FEMALE akebeko. I checked my settings and I definitely have futa turned on (not to mention I already have a ton of them back at the homestead, so that kinda says, yeah, I have the option on).

I think the problem only arises when futas only is turned on.

But that was my point. I DO have it turned on, yet the quest shows she wants a female.

EDIT: Never mind, misread your post. You said "futas only". My bad.

No worries. Did you have females enabled too?

Wait, futas can't have the fertile trait anymore?

This must be an issue brought on by the latest patch, because it was definitely possible before it got rolled out.

I mean, I did it on 0.756.9 myself, so I should know...

The only time I ever had to turn on females during my entire playthrough was for the pride demon quest at the very end of the game.

Yeah, I pretty much had default settings for everything the first play-through. Just completed that mission and made sure to use it to open the elf area and NOT the demon area, since I read on another thread that doing it the other way around locks you out of that last area because you need the elves to get the last keystone from Widow.

I've only ever seen fertile on futas as a dormant trait. It becomes a full on trait only if they pass it on to female offspring. I guess technically fertile on futa (as non-dormant) was technically a bug. I only found out about this game very recently when the last patch dropped.

Despite the fact that there's no damn help in the game and I had to consult online guides, plus the soft-lock issue, it's damn good for a alpha release.
