helps that the job cycle in early game of bobo and russian mob runs into each other perfectly.
also you want to max out all jobs or at least 2 just for the buff items. bobos is a massive energy return with some block, russian mob decreases damage by a bit and heals, and noodle shop decreases energy cost of moves and dodge chance.
the real issue is money conservation, if you want lower time its potentially in neuro training favor but I digress i dunno, You'll figure it out on your own happy speed running or just casual quick run hope this was remotely useful.
In pc1 my best results were done with bear... 45 days ; I saw similar results with turtle stam online ; by pushing str like crazy and rushing the buff that reduces enemy energy on hit ; it was possible to drain and knock down most enemy faster than you would lose your breath ; except when they block / dodge like crazy of course.
Early if you stack too much str / agi you won't be able to support it ; but once you have double inhale ... I had 25 / 18 / 19 in the end ; High agi / str is easier to train that just very high str and you get similar results ; few high damage attacks or a lot of moderate damage attacks.
moderate agi... Testing different ratios is the only thing i could not do... can't really save reload to change stats once you comit to the train.
( you may need to train with silver to gain a few gpp / to trigger songmo on 1st first fight ... sometimes you fall back to the tutorial guy if the rank gpp rng is low )
Now I am wondering how fast I can pull stats with Magic pin antisoftlock / neuro training ; totaly ignore the exercise machines and go for police focus on chapter 2.
I presume it is possible to buy 0 food with neuro training loops ; but once you spent more than 450$ you technicly need to work more ; which is good for work progression but less occasions to trigger the anti soflock.
I figure the key to completing the game in the minimum possible days is to minimize the amount of league fights you have to do. I think the thing you mentioned with fighting song mo or JD depends on whether you master enough skills, since skill mastery gives you a small amount of gpp.
Minimizing the amount of fights leaves us with a couple of questions:
Do we always need to fight the highest ranking opponent and hack them or can we get away with less resource investment at some point?
Is it possible to go through this shortest route or is it necessary to lag behind at some points in the game?
When do we need to buy buff consumables?
If you do have to lag behind, it's best to do it when you can get the most money out of it. If you have to skip/lose a fight in silvers league, it's probably best to do that when silver pays you for it. If you have to skip -a- fight it's probably best to do it when you can fight a lower ranked opponent for the most money.
Bear style is nice in that you can get away with leaving your main stat a bit lower at the end(agility and stamina builds are going to suffer more for having lower main stats), but it also requires you to work the junkyard job for a while, which is the least efficient way to get money.
Buying gym equipment seems like a poor investment. You can get access to training equipment by getting the advanced jobs. so it seems better to put the 150$ towards neurotraining.
Edit:
An efficient way to use the gym is to save up money, turn the gym membership on for one day and fit a large amount of neurotrainings in that one day before turning it back off. This does not allow for as much exploitation of anti-softlock mechanics though.
Regarding style selection, agility style runs into kind of a slump before you get 1000 winds, which hinders progression. Strength style runs into stamina issues for a while IIRC, also causing a slump. I figure stamina syle might have a more consistent performance but I haven't tested it. I might've just built my agility and strength builds suboptimally though.
I may have watch 10 movies total over the full walkthrought ...
Technicly ; the most optimal less days possible would equal to Hack every fight / train and gain + gpp with silver ; and as soon chapter 2 shows up ; you power $$ and keep challenging the highest ranked possible + hacking again.
Maybe there is a ratio to tweak with not hacking and spending more $$ to reach higher rank.
But from my run .... very very hard to reach that. Even by abusing the anti softlocks ; you will struggle if you progress too fast.
Buff consumables = only near the end
Tonic skills = only near the end
Lag behind = No ; you need to push training high as possible in chapter 1 ; because once you reach chapter 2 you can't train if you work 24/7 to push high ranks paying 1k$ to challenge the guy with 1k superior gpp all the time.
Gym unlocking with jobs ; you do get a free gym with police but 0 of the perks works with it and i estimate that they are less effictive in the first place ; so good bye 10%-20% efficiency compared to your garage / mick gym
I am testing on a neuro training run instead of buying gym equipement ... can't really tell on long term if it is worth it yet.
Efficient way to use the gym ? don't buy food ; keep 14$ of less ; train 72 hours in a row until all exercise machine have red face.... easy anti softlock looping.
What I'm reffering to with 'lagging behind' is not fighting the highest league opponent or losing. Ideally, that's not what you do. Practically, it might be necessary. We don't know. No one has done a completely optimized run.
If you unlock the teacher job, all the gym equipment that you didn't buy from the maffia becomes yours for free. There is no way that paying 150$ to access it early is optimal.
The more money you earn, the better neurotraining becomes. Neurotraining takes less time to reach the same stats, and you can use that extra time to work your jobs.
I'm talking silver's gym, after all you're trying neurotraining now and you have to pay money to use that. You're not going to have the money to train every day at the start, and while the gym membership gives you a discount there is also a daily fee on it. If you want to get the most neurotraining for your money, you save up a bunch of money, spend 8$ of it to turn the gym membership back on and spend the rest on neurotraining on that same day.
LoL on the mastering for gpp ; you're right i tried with silver and restarted 5 times song mo fight.
Mastering a skill gives + 5 or so.
You know the math for ggp gain ?
I am 188 / song mo is 356 - no mastering = +175 i get 363
1 mastering i get 368
2 mastering I get 375
and somehow i got a 370 ... not sure how ; maybe 1 and a half mastering.
Song mo is 168 higher.
I get gpp differential with a little + 7 extra ( 175 ) and + 5 extra for masterings?
I guess hacking until near aesop is worth.
Until yeah maybe no need for hacking if you can mesure the treshold ... but you still get the gpp even if you by pass him which is good for chapter 2 no ?
unless the gpp gain differential gets lower because you are closer to him before fight and gain less for the fight ?
I did not know the basic gym equip auto unlocks with Mick gym.
Does the tier 2 300$ equip also ? it felt like game quest progression was forcing me to buy some for more students to progress on the gym.
Made it to 2-2-4 stats for songmo fight.
Day 1 from house / 35 $
bus to henry movie / bus to silver - 30$
league tuto / silver train +5 gpp / 1 neuro 9 $ - 21$ / 21:45
walk to russian work 2 shifts stop flush.
walk to apu buy 1 soda / walk to bobo.
that 1 soda is just what you need to complete 2 full shifts.
around 120$ - bus ride to apu / buy 1st movie / Took slogger / walking at start then training mat and +1 item perks
0 food meter / around 10$ - 1st antisoft lock triggers.
Then i kept trying provoque the magic pin !
walking / bus always changing depending on time and $ to fit the conditions.
* during night mixing russian work / apu trip mid-shift buy soda trigger the pin.
go back and finish 2nd shift and then try to fit some walking for silver to open
* during day / Most times I had to buy 1 slim sandwhich to fit the food required and $ for 1 neuro 23$ triggering the pin.
* during evening after little day neuro trip - walking to house to trigger more magic pin with 6hours window on the training mat and power naps until training mat gets red and then time is on for another night russian 2 shift / apu soda soft lock.
*engage fight on evening after taking training mat / sleep nap as you are poor from the neuro training earlier in the day.
Looks quite good to train with neuro chapter 1.
but it is harder to quick math and fit the conditions for the antisoftlock loop compared to buying 2 gym equipment and train in garage for 2 days until they get red mood.
Buying the first gym 150$ can be done in 20 hours.
Walk home at start 35$ / henry / walk gym / russian 2 shifts = 99$
walk to bobo 2shifts - spend extra food to pass time = 150$+
walk russian buy 150$ = $ poor / 0 food = triggering the pin.
repeat similar patterns with buying a few sandwhich / soda / coffe to reach the 150$ 2nd equip ( no 35$ kicker this time )
you can get 2 gym equip + 1st movie but you are flush a few hours before 1st fight and can barely train higher than 2-1-2 ... maybe 2-1-3 / mostly gained for the work shifts...
Mike = 1092
me = 933 ( no laws yet )
160 differential
If i take the fight as is i gain around 175.
If i train gpp up to 980
110 differential
I gain around 150
it degrades gradually but slower than the actual differential ; until it seems to stabilise around 90.
with 1080 ( 10 below )
or with 1100 ( 10 over ) i got around 90 both times.
I can presume it degrades more if you over cap more than 10.
So yeah there is a treshold,
hacking in chapter 1 is punished overtime as you gain less gpp for getting closer to your next fight.
the hope of skipping a fight is getting very small... would need to close a 300 gpp gap in a short window before the sign up shows ... while getting punished for pushing gpp to make that gap possible
I wonder if something could be pulled off if you do the fight really early and then learn laws for the rest of the day.
the 400 gap is too intense with threshold rebalance.
they average near 200 gaps. it varies ... more like 180 but lets average at 200.
fighter would be like ;
1k
1,2
1,4
you usually gain 175 + some extras naturally.
so you keep progressing at 200 rate ;
you beat the 1k guy,
1,1k
and you just keep in between them.
so to skip... you need to have 1,3k after beating the 1k guy... to skip the 1,2k guy.
but you naturally have 900 when challenging the 1k guy.
how the hell you get 400 when the fight will barely give you 50 if you have more than 1k when beating the fight ; then only 1 day left for the next signup.
2 hacking in advance / power antisoflock loop 4 law chapters in 2 days / mass mastering all available skills... barely made it to 1,25k and skip failed.
50-100 gpp missing / gave all I had...
BUT.
the 1st fight of chapter 2 can be skipped ;).
you need to reach around 2,24 k between beating aesop and meeting the manager on tower.
the magic pin showed up and payed the 80$ buck fight for gold silver cuz i had 0$ and gave me 20 extra bucks; lul.
its possible because the first guy on chapter two has 2,1 k.
makes a 100 instead of 200 gap between aesop and him.
300 is possible with timing learning the laws ; i gave everything after beating the cyborg ; kept 4 shifts on last chapter of laws. took aesop fight at 8 am / finished the laws during the day and went to see the manager before he closes 7 hours after beating aesop.
on my first walkthrough sucked because i had like 2080 after beating aesop and the 2080 / 2100 gave me a crappy reward.
now instead i got a 2240 / 2370 fight. + 100gpp hacking i got pushed at 2588 after 1 fight in chapter 2 And then bought a 2 rank higher 500$ and reach 3k on second fight.
it was a big commitment to stack all hacking / learning laws and multiply worthless skills taken for a bunch of +5/10 gpp.
the gpp progression is so fast now I am getting stuck ... i might have to take a low gpp fight for $ and train more.
Maybe having a better balance between training and paying for fights while having all gpp invested in usefull skills could be better.
did garage / neuro train mix on chapter 1
Treadmil + bell / working - neuro when equip has red face / provoking a lot of antisoflocks.
Rushing double inhale
Once you got this you don't miss training with silver everyday if you need happiness or energy.
you can just go all double inhale no attacks.
Entering with 0 energy and finishing with energy bar full can go up to 40 energy recovered + 20 happiness.
stat Build ; Using either somba or arkido depending on the enemy.
Chapter one 31 days to complete
16-11-16
Then I switched to mick gym / str focus implant on chapter 2.
Pushing full bear with double inhale for main fights ;
Still using arkido for a few bear counters ( most of those that says extra dmg vs undefended ) and vs silver train and some quest fight to master skills
End of chapter 3 - 72 days.
25-12-18
started to buy hacking on the end of chapter 1 while pushing law learning to push ranks on the chapter 2 start.
Kept buying hacks always to push gpp after.
I had to take about 3 fights with similar gpp fighters on chaper 2-3 to catch up on stats and $.
the others fights were mostly around 500$ 1 rank skip challenge and a few 800-1000$ 2-3 rank skip push.
bought russian buff and some stats + 3 to get skills and to win most division 1 fights very short with some reloads...
used a lot of silver training / tonus to master a lot of skill on the final stretch to push 9k gpp.
Finished flush at 9017 after beating rank 1 on day 72.
