Both rewards are anything but useful at that point in the game. You swim in money and can afford all the food you want, and that also allows you to never sleep anymore.
The same with the free meals from mom once you got her frying pan, along with the free pizza slices from Casey - i think it was every other day - which have to be picked up in the sewer. Not to mention that protein bar reward from the housekeep robot, that can only be eaten out of the fridge.
Well, the pizza slices can be stored in the quest item inventory if your normal inventory is already full, so that's some extra food to carry around. However, you are likely not paying for the bus at that point anyway, so you only trade a drive to the sewer for a drive to the slime farm. I guess if you go to the monk occasionally, you might as well pick 'em up, with the shortcut being right there.
