Maybe you just missed something?
SPOILER:
At some point your mother calls you few times, telling you that the pills dont help anymore. Then you have to bring her earplugs from Apu. Then she calls again and sais, that the earplugs dont help. Next time you got a call from your neighbour whos telling you that she is in hospital
How did you fill up your energy? Did you give up sleeping and only used healing items to regain energy quickly?
Some scenes happens when you go to sleep.
I kept both jobs for a while, and then I tried to see what's the smallest amount of time you can spend while sleeping.
I got a call from mother immediately as I went to bed.
So I just started to go to sleep and immediately cancelling it just to see if some event would start.
If you do it fast enough, you won't waste any time sleeping, so you don't have to worry about the waste of time.
I think that maybe if you give up sleeping and only fill your energy from items, you might be able to avoid the choice.
Maybe this is a bug?
- I reached the top of the progression bar at the cop job before the quest launched
- accepted both path when the quest began then I realized I didn't want to lose access the gym cause better training machines
- never went back to the cops so it doesn't finish the quest by the cop side, and finished the gym path, became sensei and have bring mom back home
- When I go to the police station after I became a sensei , the cop event happens and so does the mom event (for the second time, the hospital bed is empty cause mom is already back home).
--> I'm now forced to never come back to the police station because if I do, It launches the police path ending and it destroys my gym center.
Hope it won't break my current run cause I won't start it all over again.
Progress in between jobs is saved. So if you got a workout or a desk job duty like 90% done it will still be 90% done in the next day. Same for socializing. Without upgrades walking around town is more beneficial than paperwork and teaching skills is more beneficial than training until the bonus from teaching skills makes training more beneficial (the 25% that you get after teaching the skill the amount of time listed increases efficiency for training)
Obviously events in either job will increase certain efficiencies as well so things change over time. Hence why it is harder in the beginning, but still doable. You just gotta use everything at your disposal, maybe even have some items prepared in case you don't want to make meal runs during work time/don't have the money for bus-meal-runs/preparing food.
I got both at 100%, didn't help, i think the choice between police and training is related to your mother in the hospital quest
1. You lose all the upgrades on training with the tapes making the trainings a pain in the ass, making better the neuro training because the police 3rd floor training sucks
2. You cannot access to the other 3 tapes and all his benefits that you receive in the dojo
3. You get the same amount of money but in the dojo you get movie points and in the police office you get talent points
4. You have to walk more to the 3rd floor and change the uniform with the police job or going to another building to sleep or eat... time waste
5. You don't miss any achievement chosing police job, you can complete all with the dojo
Sensei Job is SO MUCH BETTER !!!
It's the path even affect the endings? Or just different quest line to 1 final ending
Also, the Mick tells you that it will have consequences, that the streets will not forget what you did, but nothing happens, you don't see Mick ever again and the gym stays destroyed. Seems like the devs had something planned and then decided to cut it, which sucks. My impression when playing that part was, okay I lost the gym and 900 that I invested in the equipment, so now I will have to regain Mick's trust by fighting the gym students or something similar to that, but no.
so picking cop path have no impact on the story? its just make the whole game harder ?
Thassit.
